Similar feelings for me. After years of drinking very good beer, Founders quality just floored me. FBS, Centennial, Curmudgeon, Double Trouble, FIS, and Red's Rye are all top class. Dirty Bastard, Pale Ale and Porter are merely excellent. Haven't been fortunate enough to have some of the others (KBS, CBS, Harvest) It's the first brewery I look for at the bottle shop.

    Thoughts on Founders?

I'm not sure there's anybody that wouldn't put them among their top 5 favorite distributing craft breweries.

The only ones I didn't care for were Devil Dancer and Cerise. Everything else has been anywhere from great to amazing. FBS and their Porter are probably my two favorite.

Surprised at the general lack of love I've seen for Devil Dancer. Granted I've only had it once, but I remember really enjoying it.

FBS is definitely one of my favorite beers overall though. 3 cases down already this season, and if it weren't for all the other great brews being released recently I'm sure that total would be double right now.

I used to love Double Trouble but it seems to be different this year too- less fruity, more bitter, less boozy. Could it be MY palate??

Sending out much love for Backwoods Bastard, also Devil Dancer, FBS.

My top 5, in no particular order:

    KBS
    CBS
    Backwoods
    Imperial Stout
    Sumatra Mountain Brown

Founders is my all time favorite brewery. Also helps that I live 15 minutes away.

Cerise was great for what it was... A fruit beer. I think they did it well with just enough sweet to go with the tartness. Backwoods is very tasty, just not quite as bold as I was expecting

I am a big Founders fan. Do I love everything they do? No, but thats more my taste than their product IMHC. The one problem I had was this years Harvest. I loved harvest last year, maybe my favorite beer of the year certainly top 5. This year it did nothing for me. Seems muddled and dull... Hopefully next year will be a welcome return.

I like almost all of their beers. Not a big fan of Devil Dancer though. Some of my favorites are Reds Rye, Breakfast Stout, Harvest Ale, KBS and Backwoods.

I really do like their Red Rye Pale Ale. after tasting it I went back and bought some more. I waited a long time to try All day IPA and really looked forward to it but it just didn't work for me. I do understand that others have liked it but I won't be buying it again.

So I love love love the seasonal breakfast stout. So much that I bought a case. To me it is just a great go to stout. Not bitter, not too sweet. I also really enjoyed the Frangelic Mountain. I knowlots of people don;t like it because of the hazelnut flavoring added but I really enjoyed it as something interesting to experience. It is especially good around the holidays like now. I would like to try the imperial but it is not available around here right now.

KBS is a given. also like Centenniel IPA, Backwoods Bastard, Double Trouble, Imperial Stout... and the hits keep going. Founders is one of the best breweries going right now.

    Harvest Ale (just wow).
backwoods bastard is scary crazy good. (has to be my favorite)
Their porter is just so good for a year round. Full bodied and amazing.

I never understood the Frangelic hate. Sure, it was the weakest of the Backstage releases, but I thought it was still a tasty beer. Of course, I love me some hazelnut and coffee too.

Oof, how did I forget to mention Centennial? Definitely one of my personal favorite IPAs. It should be noted that it must be consumed fresh, though. The hop profile drops of fairly quick.

I really enjoy the breakfast stout and All-Day. Every beer they do is rather solid, but I tend to drink those the most.
