Don't forget Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale. I have always thought this a well balanced beer with lots of malt sugar and just the right amount of bitterness.

I had Old Dog for the first time in years and its not as hopped up as I remember it being. Dont get me wrong, it has a decent hop presence but I was sorta new to craft beer when I first had it so I guess my pallete changed.

I love brownies. It's all about the toast...length...length of toast. Mmm.

Brown Ales, English Stouts, and Bitters are what got me into Craft. Over the years, I've moved away from them into IPAs, Imperial Stouts, Sours, Barleywines....you name it. But I'm at a point in my life where I appreciate these styles again now. I don't like to drink any one style all of the time. I've even become bored with barrel aged beers at times. I love a good Brown Ale when the leaves start to turn. Cheers!

Only available in New Hampshire but Kelsen's Paradigm Brown Ale is quite hopped up and tasty as far as I am concerned. And I'm not the only one. It won gold last week in the World Open Beer Championship in the brown style.

I'm down with some browns. Brown ale is definitely an overlooked style around these parts. That's probably what got brewers hopping them up. Since super-hoppy brews are soooo F'in popular right now, they're trying to improve the appeal of the semi-forgotten brown ales.

I too found Durty to be overly bitter for a brown ale. I like found it drinkable but not what I want in brown ale. I like most smuttynose offerings.
