Hi All: I just recently discovered a 10 year old (2015) Parabola in my cellar. I know BA stouts can be properly cellared for years. Any thoughts on how this one will taste?
If it has been in the box the entire time it should still be very good. I have opened a few FWs recently that have still been doing well. Older than that one.
I finally drank it last week. It was well stored and aged. Very nice...no loss of carbonation. Beautiful taste of chocolate and char mixed. Amazing after 10 years!
Good to know! I just uncovered a batch 1 (2013) Parabola in a box in the garage (I know, what the hell) that's been sitting at 35-40 degrees. Hoping it's also held up like a champ.
The 2015 happens to be on tap at my local. Will try it tomorrow and report back (on the off chance anyone is still interested ).
2015 Parabola on draft. This has held up amazingly well. Would not have guessed this was a 10 year old beer. Delicious stuff.
Just from my experience, I usually have good luck with older bottles that are in individual boxes. Light is a beer killer even more than temp.
