I recently moved away from the Logan Square area and collected the full set in 2014/early 2015:

    Gravedigger Billy
    Deth's Tar
    Bean Gene
    Mean Gene
    Blue Gene
    Straight Jacket
    Very Mad Cow

I also tried them all on tap or snagged a second bottle to open immediately. Some were amazing, some were underwhelming, but I've ultimately decided I don't have a good reason to hoard or age these bottles.

Is there any real interest in these bottles outside of Chicago? Is there an equivalent "set" out there that I might be able to trade for? Or how about trading up for a bomber or two of something more sought after like Huna?

Alternatively, I would like to know if I'm wasting my time and should just crack them open at bottle shares. Posting on this forum because I don't have a clear ISO in mind other than just trying another region's quality beers. Just looking for ideas.

I think they're almost all very good to excellent. Deths Tar is a particular favorite. There doesn't seem to be crazy demand for them but the reputation is solid & everyone I've known that tries them really likes em. Put up an iso for the Huna, though you'll probably need to do 1+. DT & Huna are both excellent beers. People with Huna to spare are cheating themselves if they don't try DT, imo.

Deth's tar is good but when you live in Chicago and can land BCBS fairly easily it isn't quite as appealing . I think Gravedigger Billy, Straight Jacket, and Very Mad Cow are all fantastic representations of their respective styles. I would have expected I would need much more than 1+ to land Huna! To be honest, I was looking to trade the entire set in one go...

WoW! I'm lousy at trade values but it would be (imo) crazy if that didn't get you a bottle.

BCBS is among my favorite beers but I'm freaky for variety. I truly enjoy Deths Tar in addition to loving BCBS.

I traded the whole set for the whole recent voodoo barrel room set. They are all fantastic beers but straight jacket and deth's tar are a step above them all/

Straight Jacket is an absolute favorite of mine! The lack of trading demand for these beers has less to do with the quality and more to do with the fact that you can buy them online in qty from many stores.

It seems that few have these FT. The ones I've been able to snag have been excellent. Usually have to put up FW boxes to get. What's the bottle count on any one offering/vintage?

Beer Temple is the most reliable. I just bought 4 more Straight Jackets a few weeks ago.

I see you are in Cali. If you have access to RR sours, that might work. I've had success trading them for Revolution stuff.

Yeah found that site. scored some SJ too! Just wondering if there any other sites. Love Revolution beers. Especially anti hero.
