I love Southern Tier. Big fan of Blackwater series, Pumking,Inequity, 2xIPA, Harvest is phenomenal, 2xStout is solid.

No. I avoid them in general and put them in the lower deciles. They could learn a thing or two about attenuation. Not a fan of their sugar bombs.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on ST. Harvest is probably my favorite fall beer. I also really enjoy Live. I just got a bottle of that Super Sonnet but haven't tried it yet.

With the exception of Mokah (which they retired then recently brought back), their Blackwater series has an artificial taste to it. I'll still drink them though.

Also I much prefer the old label design.

I recently had the oak aged backburner, bottle was about 1.5 years old and was just incredible i thought. I know they didnt make backburner this year but im willing to bet it eventually comes back.....or hope so.

Nice stouts, but just an average brewery overall imho.

All these beers taste best at the brewery, after a tour, along with some chicken chili. Yes. I need to go back.

True enough. I was fortunate enough to get a growler fill the last time my favorite bar had it on tap. I shared with friends over two sessions and was surprised it held up the second time.

I really like ST, but my favorite Black IPA is definitely Iniquity. It hits all the notes I envision the style typifying, sticky and sweet, great roastiness and lots of piney hop aromas. I've tried many black IPAs and brewed a few myself, but I've never been able to quite capture that.

choklat is excellent. ive been meaning to pick up a bottle since my local store just got some in. i found a bottle of creme brulee for 3 bucks at this random convenience store. i shared it with friends, it was good but i probably couldnt have a whole bomber in one sitting. its really sweet for my liking. all-around solid beers from those guys. the 2x stout aint too shabby either

Choklat and Creme Brulee are both excellent! I've had Creme Brulee in the bomber sized bottle and it was extremely hard to finish because it's so heavy and filling. The richness of the taste of both beers really was incredible, though.
