I think y'all are the ones being disingenuous. You've never been there - how would you know if they've *never* put a stout on tap? Because they didn't have a stout on at one moment in time? Okaaaay...

    For the record, they have.

Just admit it already, you just want the hype stuff without paying the hype price. Even if they put a stout on at the taproom, I'm sure you'd find someway to disqualify that and say that you can't *really* try their beers because all the "good" stuff people want goes to festivals or requires a long wait, blah blah blah...

I check the tap list every week or two, and literally every time I have, the beers available are a blonde, a couple berliners, and one or two hazies.

Just checked again and... you'll be surprised what's on the tap list!

I've got no skin in this fight since I'm not local. I'm just pointing out the obvious flaw in your argument. If you're really going to defend it, please feel free to, but try to cite some evidence. Even one of the brewery's supporters in this thread couldn't corroborate your claim. I've checked the R6 menu three times and not one occasion has there been a stout on tap. Untappd shows stout check-ins at R6, but none have been draft. If bottles are available for on premises consumption, there's no indication of that.

Since you're so inclined to push this issue, why not alert folks of the availability by posting in this thread? You can probably eliminate or at least decrease the amount of negative discussion since folks will finally be able to try these beers.

Personally, I am far more inclined to try a brewery's beers if I have the ability to try a few pours by the glass (whether on tap or poured from bottles) than I am to throw down $40 on a bottle from a brewery I've never tried, let alone when they sold that same bottle for $30 the previous week. Which is one reason I've been routinely checking the tap list.

As a side note, I do think it's funny that the people who complain about people mucking up the Three Chiefs/Horus threads are the same people who stir the topic back up after it's been dead awhile.

I've noticed this as well. I check in here for light entertainment (I don't do reality tv, I just follow meaningless beer feuds on the internet. 'Murica!) but for all the complaining about people posting negative stuff I see a dearth of positive stuff. Doesn't bode well. Other breweries threads are constantly alive with fans sharing their love of a new bottle or just checking in to say 'had the new batch of x, on point' to the point that any negativity gets buried quickly. Why doesn't that happen with these guys?

Waited in line in the Bruery ann line, i must say it was worth it. But could only handle 3oz, way too sweet.

Finally had the Chiefs today at The Bruery event... went it in with an open mind... and ehhhh... that Banana beer was aight. Definitely not worth the balloon hype, definitely not worth $45 a bottle.

So a craft brewery that brews stouts, puts sweet adjuncts in them and overcharges for bottles is “definitely unorthodox”? Really?

Whoa there buddy. 'Sweet Adjuncts'? First of all, THEY AREN'T ADJUNCTS! and also all adjuncts are sweet! These guys are real trail blazers (maybe they should move to Portland?) and you WILL love them!

Maybe unorthodox is a stretch. Id say its at least not normal. Abnormal, if you will. It is good to hear they brought enough beers for most people at the bruery though. I look forward to trying their HpB collab

I think they provide an element of 'fun' that you don't get from most breweries. Their releases have been more like parties than most others. It is a welcome change that I wish I could enjoy more but after having to stand in line for so long I'm not trying to do anything other than go home.

Obviously, what people consider fun varies. There are plenty of things that I don't consider fun about them, but I do hope that those are the result of being new as opposed to being a characteristics of the brewery.

Opened a bottle of DOS last night and really enjoyed it. Left the bottle out a bit before pouring and felt a lot of the flavor came through - sweet coffee with just a bit of smokey barrel on the back end.

Would be cool if they could make these, and stouts like these, more easily attainable but glad I got to try one. Can't really say it was worth the price or effort not having much to compare it to outside of BL but it definitely was tasty and I would pick up another one if it wasn't too much of a hassle, lol. :beers:

I don't have access to past menus.

Also, you seem very certain that every person has chimed in on this specific topic. I suppose you've personally questioned all supporters in this thread whether or not they have witnessed it then?

Finally, I don't indicate the container type/service type when I use untappd so the absence of a "draft" check in doesn't mean anything.

Because I don't care about any of you.

Well you see, some dude makes Instagram vids of himself and sometimes other people chugging expensive beers, and that's really cool.
