Does anyone know what makes Cuatro unique? After listening to the podcast about Faha and what was required to make that beer, I'm curious about Cuatro, especially given the $40 for 500ml price tag.

Nothing justifies the $40 price other than FOMO for a brewery that realizes they can milk money from their base.

Sucks to hear about them moving to LB. El Segundo was nice (for me). At least they'll presumably have their own spot.

I am having a hard time processing all of the nonsense I’ve read in some of the posts on this page.

I love you guys, like a lot. $40 for a coconut stout with subtle coconut is stupid. Makes me appreciate $15 Shared Coffee Shop Vibes even more. I have yet to try a 3 Chiefs beer. I should of taken the guy up on his offer who was looking for an AdF. Maybe next time...

Since I’m going to be in the neighborhood with time to spare, and I’m curious after looking at this thread I’m going to stop by and check out the brewery for myself. What should I look to buy? I’m not stopping by an ATM en route so the really pricey stuff is off the menu.

Probably shouldn't even go. There won't be anything to buy. They share a tasting room with a distillery but I wouldn't expect anything worth going there for on tap. Might be better off going to El Segundo Brewing or State.

I did go by and they were setting up for a private party, so no sales. Crowlers only according to the bartender, and nothing available at the moment. Usually 4 varieties on tap. Dark decor made me think of Interview with a Vampire movie.

    Where is State?

So you stopped by, they were open, and there was no beer to purchase? Wtf?

Staff was present but there was a sign on the door that said “closed at 5PM for private party”. They were nice enough to let me look around. Basically it’s a craft distillery that sells 3C products as a sideline, so sort of a shared space.

Every time I've met you, you've been incredibly nice and generous.

I'd hope you don't think I'm doing nothing aside from being a troll here. I've had several TC beers I've enjoyed, along with several I haven't at all. And I would say their beers absolutely do not make up for their business practices, which have been rather lacking time and time again. I'd rather spend my money on a brewery like HPB or Modern Times where they take pride in their product, don't try to take advantage of the people who like them, and are very communicative of their intentions.

It ends up being insanely disappointing when, every time Three Chiefs gets a positive rep (by me along with many others), they immediately negate that with another insanely overpriced release, show up with just enough bottles to create FOMO (seriously though... six bottles?), or straight up posting lined up chairs on IG to hype their releases.

Their actual "brewery" location has been absolute horseshit with terrible beers on tap (I have visited and it was a complete waste of time) and I'll be very impressed if their new location isn't more of the same.

On an unrelated note, I really hope I can make the next share, haven't seen you guys in awhile!

My post was not targeted at you  And thanks for the friendly comments.

Honestly, there is only one person on this thread that seems to be calling me out personally, rather than focusing on the substance of the discussion. Everyone else is defending their position vigorously. Which is what this site is all about,

I hope you can join us one day at our SM Share. We did one last week that went really well. If not, I'm sure our paths will cross again. Hoping Woodshop is in LA this year.

I remember when I first heard of them I thought they were opening in signal hill. How’d you hear they’re moving to LBC?

Was hoping to make the share but I’ve had to deal with putting my best friend to sleep, unfortunately. Hoping to make the next one as long as a Lyft from NoHo to SM doesn’t kill me too much.

And yeah, fingers crossed Woodshop stays in LA. Been waiting too long.

no worries, we do it every 4 to 6 weeks, and he is on the invite list.

None of us can make every share.

Sorry for the insensitivity, I misinterpreted that post at first.

As a dog owner, I get it and I'm sorry for your loss.

Haha no worries, I kinda figured that was the case. Thanks, it's been a rough situation, I hate that I know multiple other people going through the same thing.
