As of this writing, it has been four weeks since the last release of a Three Floyds Barrel Aged product.

While there could be several reasons why there hasn't been a release after Bully Guppy (which took place on September 25), would it be reasonable to assume that Three Floyds is listening to feedback from the buyers of the (for the most part) poorly received releases?

Kudos to FFF if they have put the program on hold to revisit their inventory and correct the experimental products that haven't turned out as anticipated.

(Of course, if they release something soon that suffers from the same acetone issues as some recent releases, well, I take it all back).

They are not listening to people. They probably just don't have anything to release. Their barrel program is pretty tiny compared to other breweries who bottle barrel-aged beers.

BTW, I have enjoyed all of the ones I tried except for Bully Guppy... and that was still a fun experience with a bunch of people. I am opening Battle Priest on my birthday, so that may be the second bad one.

FFF does with they want. there philosophy is "if you don't like it don't buy it" that is not to say they are mean or anything. I just feel like nick floyd doesn't care for the fame.

I don't know. I liked Cabra and Cognac Moloko. They weren't ALL bad.

Cognac Moloko and Conquistador were/are fantastic. Haven't tried the others, don't think I want to.

Hoping to "do his part" it seems, BenBenedict made sure to post a link to this thread on FFF's Facebook wall.

Even when they don't do anything, BA finds a way to discuss FFF..

Those were the 2 that made me drop everything and go get. Tempted with Battle Priest, but for $35 couldn't pull the trigger. The BA stouts were easier to justify for some reason. Bully Guppy was just too alien of a concept to bite.

Agreed. I'd rather have the ability to have a good barrel aged beer when I'm at the brewpub than go there to pick up a $30 average-at-best beer.

Now lets be fair, Conquistador de Muerte was fantastic, Cabra was very good, Cognac Moloko was better than average. The bottle I tried of Battle Priest was outstanding (I know I'm the outlier). Only Bully Guppy has been a total letdown so far.

However, I do miss being able to have a $5-$7 snifter of barrel aged goodness at Three Floyds when I've been in lately. The massive amount of new offerings recently have made up for that (as well as the fantastic menu of late).

    Cheers!

^ This. I've actually never gotten a chance to enjoy a glass of barrel aged beer at the brewpub, even though I've been going weekly for about 4 months (not a complaint, just a statement - also not even saying thats an accomplishment, just that it seems like they offered them much more often before I started doing this.). I think it would be pretty cool for them to release barrel aged stuff in the same fashion they have been, but on tap, and get the chance to enjoy the beer, chat with people at the bar, and not enjoy the $35 bottle price. But hey, that's just me.
