Anyone know when Three Floyds started bottle dating? Picked up some Jinx Proof yesterday with a beautiful "12/28/2013" stamped on it. Hit a small town liquor store and grabbed some Pride & Joy and saw no such date, though I am guessing it is at least a few months old. Got me curious as to when they started this and if there is any way to determine how old the P&J is. It's great that Three Floyds started doing this!
I stopped at the 3 Floyds to-go kiosk on 11/21/13 and all of the 12-oz bottles I bought were stamped. "Earliest" date was Gumballhead: 11/18/13. (And the Zombie Dust I got was 1-day old.)
yeah, i couldn't have been happier to see this when i ran across it last month. good for them (and us).
I know they will sell more of their beers cause I've seen threads talking about not buying FFF stuff in WI because of lack of dating. That being said their beer doesn't last too long on the shelves anyhow. Nice to know what you are getting is a fresh brew so you can judge it as such.
