I'm driving north, from LA to Providence in a couple weeks, and planning a stop somewhere. Considering Lexington, KY as well as spots in North Carolina. Any chance of grabbing any 3 Floyds in Lexington or elsewhere in Kentucky? What brews are usually available?
Check with seekabrew.com it's fairly accurate on what is distributed...then you have to find the best outlet...if you are going to Asheville, NC I'd recommend Brusin Ales.
3 floyds had some dreadnaught in lexington last week, all gone now I'm sure. Have seen some apocolypse cow this week, and man o awe. I've seen Robert the Bruce is around, and easiest to find when it's here. So basically it's hit or miss from week to week sadly. Their stuff sells out pretty quick when they come in.
If you happen to go through Paducah there's a place called Roof Bros. Usually has a good bit of Three Floyds. They even have a few taps for growler fills. You might luck in to a growler of 3F.
Usually, stores in Lex only get a case or two and if you do not act quickly, you don't get any. Long gone are the days of Dreadnaugt whenever you want it. Zombie Dust comes in every now and then.
Three Floyds is against growler fills, but I know a place or two that still do it. Liquor Barns won't.
Louisville has a good supply. You can find four of five bombers around right now: apocalypse cow, dreadnaught, manoawe, rabbid rabbit, and blackheart. Keg liquors right over in clarksville will have gumballhead, alpha king and possibly ZD, but you have to ask for them in person. Sergio's also has almost every FFF beer that's come out and hit distro for the past few years, but you'll pay for them.
