Just a quick heads up that Three Floyds released Moloko yesterday. They didn't post anything about it on Facebook or Twitter, but it's up at the brewery now, and if it's not out in the wild yet, it should be soon. I'd seen a couple people ask about when it would be coming out, so I figured I'd post.

Brewery Description: "This delicious Milk Stout is brewed with a portion of golden naked oats and lactose milk sugar to give it a rounded and full-bodied mouth feel, deep-roasted and slightly sweet maltiness."

    Style: Milk Stout
    ABV: 8%
    IBU: 30

    $10.00 / bomber
    $100.00 / case (12 bombers / case)

    That is all...

Yeah, it's a very decent stout. I'm not really sure why they didn't post anything about it, as they've sent out a heads up each August when it became available over the past couple of years. There will be plenty of it to go around at the brewery and throughout their distribution for quite a while, but it's good to know for those looking to drink some this weekend.

They usually don't post about their basic seasonals anymore.

Probably because people only ask about Zombie Dust

I've heard from some of the guys up there themselves that they don't post on social media about Zombie Dust anymore because of all of the assholes who come out from Chicago, make a huge line, and then bitch that they drove all that way for nothing when it sells out.

did the price go up on moloko this year? i know i bought it for cheaper the past few years and i recall something along the lines of 6.99 or 7.99. Moloko was, for some reason, their cheapest beer.

Thanks for the heads up. Was just debating whether to stop there or not tomorrow so this will tip the scales

Not really sure how much it was last year. They've had some other stuff for $8.00 a bottle this year, so maybe they're just anticipating that Moloko will sell at a better clip.

Glad to help. Love the avatar, by the way. BN is by far my favorite, well, if not readily available then at least not insanely expensive, not insanely difficult to find beer this year. I've got two 4-packs left and I still agonize over every bottle I open. I'd buy 10 cases if I could get my hands on them.

Using that logic, it seems their anticipation of the Floyd D'Rue clip was a bit off then.

I know you're joking, but that actually seems to be a valid comparison given that Floyd D'Rue was limit two bottles per person initially and then switched to four bottles per person a week or two later. I'm guessing that they thought it would sell through much quicker than it has. Apparently it's selling slow, but not so slow that they've had to reduce the price...

Yeah I was just joking. Not sure FFF would ever reduce the price, they'll just sit on it likely. Probably have it for sale at DLD '15 with the hope the big crowd purchases some. Whatever though. Thanks for posting the Moloko release info tho.

No problem. It's good to know when it first came out so you can start a countdown estimate for the BA release

This is true but since to get Zombie Dust(at least around Indy) you have to ask it's sadly a bit of "damned if you do and damned if you don't." I always make sure to buy something else when I ask because I don't want to be the asshole that just comes in and asks for ZD and walks out on a ton of other great beers. It's not that special but it's nice to acquire when you can. What do you recommend Al to not come off that way?

I generally get my Zombie Dust and Gumball Head at the local Whole Foods as I have developed a nice rapport with the fine folks in the beer and cheese department.

That would be my second suggestion. Either that or form a partnership with a guy who lives five minutes from Three Floyds and who loves Upland... Just saying...
