The first Rue from FFF was not infected it was the Bruery version. The one that was either infected or was just awful was the rum barrel version that Was Floyd D'Rue not Rue D'Floyd.

The only stuff I've heard about Rue and Crack the Skye is that they taste bad when aged. I don't think that counts as infected.

If a BA beer doesn’t hold up for 6 months (trying to remember when the rumors started)? It is semantics but not sure that counts as ages

Is Crack the Skye even barrel aged?

.All I was trying to ask is that doesn’t it appear three Floyds as a serious quality control problem? I wish I could just delete it but then some moderator will say “don’t make a comment if you don’t want discussion”.

No, it actually does not appear that way at all. Not even in the slightest.

Damnit. That bums me out on the Rue. I've got one more sitting. Really really liked that beer fresh. Is it all the bottles?

I would do anything else with it aside from drink it. I don't see many people reporting good things about it anymore

Will do. I'll just open it up tonight out of curiosity. Reviews on various apps and sites and what not are across the board. Some say infected, some say too tart cherry has taken over, some say barely any cherry flavor.

Seems like they’re taking back empty bottles as well, so it’s literally a no lose situation.

It doesn’t appear that way. They had a couple a few years ago, and maybe one now. And you threw crack the skye in for no reason, as there has been zero discussion about that being infected.

But my main point was bringing up the discussion on crack the sky being barrel aged.

Agreed. The only infections I'm familiar with at FFF for a labeled beer was the Bruery collab Floyd d'Rue back in 2014. Otherwise the infections seem to be limited to random barrel aged one offs that don't have any production labels on them, just hand marked bottles (and even then it isn't the whole batch).

Brought my unopened Rue to the kiosk today. They took it back no questions asked. They offered me $30 gift card or $30 worth of beer.

Any guesses on this year's wax? Behemoth is on tap at the pub now so bottles should be in January. I'm guessing bright purple with sparkles or yellow with sparkles. Final answer is the purple
