FrIend of mine said he got some of this and really liked it...given we have similar tastes, I might be interested in trading for some, but don't know anything about it...is this a limited release or is on the shelf? 12 oz or 22 oz?

    Any info is appreciated!

I've only ever seen it at the brewpub, but knowing FFF a couple of stores in Chicago might have gotten some bottles. $10 for a 22oz bottle at the brewpub.

the 22oz bombers were originally released in bottles at DLD 2012 I believe. I just saw Ryed Da Lightning, along with "Live A Rich Life" and "Mutiny & The Mollusk" (other beers released at DLD) at a local liquor store in the Chicago suburbs.

I would say seek this beer out. I recently received one as an extra from a trade and thought it was fantastic. I described it as a rye zombie dust with that huge citrus nose and just a light spice from the rye.

It was originally brewed for Record Store Day 2012 in collaboration with Reckless Records in Chicago, which was a weekend before DLD I think. And yeah, it's a pretty great beer. I drank way more of it than anything else on DLD. Delicious stuff.

Does anyone know if FFF brews the Rich Life and Rye'd in batches, or if the current supply is the original supply? Is one or the other (or both) planning to be brewed again? I worry about hops fading on Rye'd since it's a pale.

Rich life is a re-name for Tiger Jelly. Tiger Jelly wasn't expected to be remade though. Rye'd the Lightning is a one time brew as of now. Picked up a one of each a couple weeks ago. Both tasted great! Especially Rye'd.

Yeah I don't think so. I had TJ and Rich Life on tap at the same time at the brewpub...I have a feeling they're not the same brew.

    * I think you're looking for Shark Pants*

Rye'd the Lightning tastes like Zombie Dust and Founders Red's Rye had a baby.

Also we should be expecting - Floyd's new one called Rye Da Tiger sometime this year. Not sure when it is being release but should be another good one.

Is it just me, or do other people pick up Nelson Sauvin in Rich life? Really amazing hop profile nevertheless. I get a bit of it in Ryed as well...
