Core: Loved their Red IPA. They have to most invested, need to try more of their product.

Saddlebock: Liked their Dunkelweizen. Need to sample more of their beers. Want to try their Arkansas Farmhouse Ale

Fossil Cove: This is the one to watch. Liked their IPA, but loved their Pale Ale called Paleo. It impresses me more when a brewery is able to take a basic staple like Pale Ale to excellence.

I do wish one of these breweries would make a year round Porter.

Pretty much exactly how i feel, and I've been to all 3 numerous times. Fossil Cove is easily my favorite. I rarely make it out to Saddlebock these days, their quality hasn't improved like the others in the area IMO.

We are lucky to have three breweries in our little corner of Arkansas. I bet there will be more

I knew about Apple Blossom. I did not know about Ozark Beer Co., is it a brewpub, microbrewery or both.

Saw their facebook page and it looks like it is going to be a fairly substantial micro by NWArkansas standards. The more the merrier. I do wish one these breweries would offer some ale on cask. That would certainly be something new for NWArkansas.

I envy you guys I believe the beer scene will improve quite a bit. There's a ton on new people/money moving into that area from what I see. This reminds me a lot of NC about 15 years ago. May not happen over night, but a lot of walls are down that I wish were in the Sooner state.

Would also love to see some cask offerings. I totally yawn at Marshalls McNelly's Pub ale in the bottle or draft, but on cask it is up there with most ales I tried over the 5 year span I was stationed in England.

Keep encouraging them Russ, I think a McNellie's Pub would do great in NWArkansas.

first visit to Fossil Cove today. Must say Ben as it going on here. Paleo very solid, Tripel was awesome and had a really solid IPA on, great guys, super friendly, doing it right. Must stop if in the area. Great little tasting room set-up. Looking for continued great things from them in the future.

Was back at Mellow Mushroom today to retrieve something I left there 2 weeks ago:grimacing: Had the Fossil Cove Paleo, very tasty. They also had Prairie Standard on Draft, well worth a try.

I tried Paleo at the brewery, I was most impressed. They need to get the bottle line going. I can't wait to try Prairie Standard.

Really? They have Prairie on tap? I was there not long ago. Do you know any stores to buy Prairie in bottles?

According to their sign it is a new beer. I haven't seen any Prairie in bottles in NW AR yet...

Might be something to consider. I've got relatives in Texarkana, the selection there has always struck me as barren.
