Mad River would be worth a stop. They make fine spirits.

Yeah the more I'm reading about what type of trip it will be, instead of driving around you can honestly Uber everywhere around Portland without going long distances. And if you stay somewhere a stone's throw away from "Yeast" Bayside and the Old Port, you can hoof it to a lot of beer spots. Get rides to the industrial park/Mast Landing and Bissell Brothers during the day, then walk around to the better beer bars and even more divey bars at night.

You’ve got a lot of options. Plenty of suggestions for types of trip, I’ll add one more.

Similar to Portland only, Boston could be a really fun 4 day trip. If you were intent on TH, you could fly in and head straight to the brewery (62 minutes from Logan), stock up and be set with that for the weekend and beyond.

Hotel or Airbnb in Boston proper or Cambridge would give you access to good dining options, multiple breweries, and excellent bars at night. Plenty of time to hit trillium, nightshift (and/or their respective beer gardens), lamplighter brewing, Cambridge brewing company, Sam Adams, Harpoon, publick house...the list is plentiful. During the summer there’s also often a lobster bake at spectacle island. Many bars/restaurants with good whisky selections as well.

You could easily target a brewery like trillium Friday then night shift Saturday and build out an itinerary around it.

There aren’t even direct flights from Seattle to Hartford.

I would second sticking around Boston and Portland to keep the driving limited, which may also let you visit Tree House. If you were all looking for a bucket list visit, HF would be a must but it's really out of the way.

    Cheers
