I've never had it before but I found one at an HEB(Texas grocery store if y'all don't know it) and it's been there awhile. I'd say at least 2 months. Every time i go and look it's there. I guess there's no way to tell if it's the same one but I'm curious about this. I finally bought it because nobody else had the sense to and I figured if anybody deserved it after that long it's me. haha
Is there a way to tell when it was bottled? Like was it early '11 or later? I'm thinking of drinking it for New years along with some other stuff but I'd like to know about how old it is. It's the oldest bottle I've ever found and for it to be at a grocery store like that seems weird to me.

As long as it has been properly stored, the age is not a problem.

This. Unless it's been aged hot or something, this one only gets better!

Well I did pick it up. I'm hoping it's been stored properly. If not it's just reason to buy another. But I decided I'll probably drink it tonight depending on what happens.

I personally just had a three year vert of the Three Philosophers, 10, 11, and 12. The 12 was great cherry flavor very pronounced almost to a sour, the 11 IMO still needs time as the cherry is starting to fade but the malt needs a little more time, the 10 IMO was also great more of a classic quad cherry almost imperceptible at this point. Also got me looking forward to a four yer vert next year. This is definatly one beer worth aging. Get more if you can.
