Kicking & Screaming getting some special treatment:

    • We have two very special cans of oak-aged beer ready for your Thanksgiving table. One a long time coming, the other can never come often enough. We're grateful to be able to make beers like this and share them with all of you. Available at both locations starting tomorrow.

Nothing is Forever (Imperial Stout Aged in Rye and Bourbon Barrels) // Our imperial stout aged in Willet Rye and Bourbon barrels and then blended before packaging. This is the first time we’ve packaged this beer, don’t snooze on this one.
Tasting Notes: Vanilla, Dark Fruit, Attenuated, Hearth.
      ____________________________

Kicking and Screaming (Foudre Fermented Pilsner) // This was the first batch of Kicking we krausened in oak with fermenting helles before lagering it for another 2 months in our dedicated lager foudre. This batch has a brighter floral hop character while being extra soft on the palate.
Tasting Notes: Soft Minerals, Saazy, Nilla Wafers, Golden, Refined.

just dropped by. Kicking and screaming on tap. Really good. The stout that’s in kegs is being cellared for a later date (ie not being tapped any time soon) so I sprung for a 4 pack)

Nice, looking forward to that reformed pils + Threes often has that classic approach on the stout front: a nicely soft and gentle delicacy...Looking forward to snagging some of that as well

I’m drinking the stout now and you’re spot on. Really does have that classic take to it. Excellent

I had Nothing is Forever a few years ago at Broadway Dive, really enjoyed it, and had to track down cans of this batch.

I'm really enjoying these cans. The body is light given what passes for stout these days. Like the tasting notes say, there's a lot of dark fruit up front. There's a nice amount of barrel and a really smooth, tasty chocolate finish.

I had it at the brewery before the Isles game last night and agree with your assessment comrade.
