Oh my god, had to get another delivery from these guys.
I was looking for an excuse to get that HV pilsner collab and the stout (I loved the BAed version) but putting Alchemist stuff up for shipping was an easy slam dunk. Heady and Focal. Got the 3 4-packs and a 32oz crowler for just about the same price I paid last week.

Crap, when did they add The Alchemist stuff? I just got an order from Threes 5 days ago (Vliet & Logical Conclusion). I would have jumped all over that (especially Focal Banger - all that's left on the site now) if it was there then. :grimacing:

In their story on IG they blurbed that they had Alchemist in their on-line shop and I happened to see it within 20 minutes of them posting it so I basically lucked out. They were only doing 2 4-pack max, I only got 1 of each. Edit: now they’re both gone.

Guess I'll have to start following them on IG too.

Anyone know the deal with their delivery? Website and IG say NYC delivery but then the ordering site says BK and below 14th St only.

Haha, I just follow any brewery I have even a remote interest in. It’s not good for the wallet, or my liver.

Yeah it changes when you put it in your address outside of those areas. If your total is over $50, you just get charged $9 for delivery outside of lower Manhattan/Brooklyn .

If you’re shipping, you can’t get a crowler. I misread that. Oh well.

    Hello all,

We've been tinkering with our delivery/shipping options, so in an attempt to remove any confusion about our offering, here are the ways you can purchase all beer made by Threes Brewing as well as 'friends & heroes' that we feature in our online shop...

    - Pickup: all web orders are eligible for no-touch pickup at our locations in Gowanus or Greenpoint. Please note that the person who ordered the beer must be present with their ID when they arrive at our facility.

    - Shipping: order online and we'll mail you beer anywhere in New York State. Orders > $100 are eligible for free shipping, while those < $100 cost a $9 flat-rate. The only products we don't ship are crowlers (we're afraid they may break in the mail) and magnums (the bottle size makes them a bit tricky with our packaging).

    - Delivery: guaranteed same-day delivery in parts of Brooklyn and below 14th Street in Manhattan for orders placed by 7pm. Delivery is free for orders > $50, with orders < $50 incurring a $9 flat-rate. To see if your neighborhood is eligible, simply check the zip code finder during the checkout process. Please note that we are testing delivery in new neighborhoods regularly. In fact, we're starting to do some non-same day runs in Queens and upper Manhattan. To properly service these areas from our home base, we are moving to a model where we visit these neighborhoods once each week. Check the delivery zone times in checkout and if you're ok with ordering your beer 1-6 days in advance, there's a better chance we can bring beer to you.

As you all know, this service is really new. We threw it together insanely quickly as a way to keep some of our team employed and with the hope that it might help bridge the company through this very challenging time. At this stage, we don't know what the future may hold or when our bars may reopen, so we're going to roll with this as long as it's safe and permissible by law. We're working tirelessly to improve the offering, bringing beer (plus wine, coffee, and merch) to anyone who wants it. If you have feedback about the product or any ideas you'd like us to consider, please do share your thoughts by dropping a note (info at threesbrewing dot com).

In the meantime, use this link or discount code BEERADVOCATE for 10% of your first order through the end of May.

    Be safe, be well,
    @ThreesBrewing

Just wanted to say thanks for staying open. I've made use of the pick-up option several times at Gowanus and found it to be safe and speedy. Love the beer you make. Having it on hand during these strange times brings about a much needed sense of normalcy. Hoping that we can all safely say cheers in person sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the kind words and all the support. These have been long, grueling days, and receiving messages like this make them utterly worthwhile.

Looking forward to hosting you at the brewery when we get to the other side.

I work for the MTA and had yet another frustrating night tonight and got to come home and have a Heady Topper to calm down because of you guys. Not to mention the shipment I got last week of SFY and Unreliable (which were both amazing) and the always reliable Vliet and Focal and the imperial stout I’m gonna have later this week.

    Thank you.

Anyone have thoughts on Dare to Know? Thinking of picking up a 4 of that along with the collab pils this afternoon

I thought it was awesome. I had it at bondurants back in early Feb or so, then found cans at Eastern District and enjoyed them all. It has a huge grapefruit note.

Is this a new batch since then?

Dare to Know canned yesterday, tastes fantastic. Got the collab/charity pils as well, plan to have one this evening

And contactless pick-up was a breeze, as expected!

I've ordered more from Threes during this quarantine than I probably drank from them in 2018/9 combined....and feel silly I haven't had more in the past. While plenty of NYC breweries are great at impression beers, Threes excels at drinking beer. It's the pilsner you have one or two of on a Zoom call where that adds to the experience and doesn't distract you from the people's faces on your screen. Their IPAs make great accompaniment to games of Ticket to Ride or Scrabble. Happy to be directing a good portion of my quaranbeer funds to 333 Douglass Street.
