Threes Brewing in Brooklyn?

What else do you want to call it? It is one of their first "releases" and we should face it, there will be a line.

 

What's everyone's thoughts on Day of the Dead IPA. I haven't tried it yet. Wondering if it's worth hitting up the release for. Not really interested in the Pils.

Did Three's release prices yet? Looks like they are using 12oz cans for the pils and IPA.

 

Bravo to Threes for doing six packs. Very cool.

 

Has it ever been released? Very few check-ins on untappd.

 

It was on tap at the brewery recently and I stupidly didn't try it. Beermenus has it on tap in the city right now

 

Was released the Friday of their last release. It's a very solid IPA. Really enjoyed it. Brewed in collaboration with the band The National for their album release party.

Popped both Eternal Returns and was blown away. The Chardonnay was excellent...funky and awesome grape notes as it warmed. Wish the Raspberry was a little more tart but very solid brett and fruit on it. Very impressed.

 

Threes posted a pretty long video on their facebook page about tomorrow release. Pretty interesting if you have the time to check it out. They mention the IPA being hazy and juicy, so i think were in trouble.

 

2 case max (per beer) too! I'm excited about this one.

 

What do people think of Vliet? Doesn't seem to be that well received and with the OH Pilsner coming out on Saturday I'm on the fence about whether it's worth getting.

 

Seems like a good beer for this weather, though I havent tried it. I'd pick up a 6 pack because why not. Im just wondering what time I should get there tomorrow. Dont want to show up at 3 to the other half bandwagon...

 

For a pilsner I think it's great

Doubt it, not with a 2 case limit. I think Threes might be underestimating the hoarding mentality of craft beer nerds. It doesnt matter if they need 2 cases they will buy it because they can.

 

Yeah, it's like how OH used to be where you could get 2 cases. I suspect this will be worse than those used to be because Threes is easier to get to and more NYCers are into standing in line for beer.

I feel it's telling that they sold out of the bottles same day. This should go much more quickly than those bottles did.

 

They said earlier in this thread that if they see people buying the full allotment they'll adjust accordingly, so well see.

Was anyone at the previous release who can comment on arrival times?

 

FWIW They posted on their IG that they aren't sure about what time to arrive/wait time, but they hope there isn't a line to get cans at 3pm. So I'm not sure they are going to be ready if 50-75 people are lined up by 2:30pm

I was kinda hoping i could just stroll in at 3 then head back to work...
