Couldn't think of too many things worse than driving out of the city on a summer friday at around 3pm.

Scene is getting absurd. Now the expectation is that any time a brewery releases cans lines should be expected? Is there not any other beer in the tri-state area?

I think non beer people would think people were insane for lining up for beer.

I get the absurdity, but in a NYC we line up for Broadway and concert tickets, cronuts and milkshakes, sneakers and menswear, so I don't think beer is out of the question. There are line waiting companies now. Oh and iPhones.

Guys it's not that complicated. If it's local, and it's in a can, people will go nuts for it...and that means lining up.

Add allotment to the list also.

Every single sale of beer event now necessitates a queuing of people. Ridiculous how every beer geek within 100 miles feels the need to get cans while so much beer just sits on the shelves and gathers dust. Yes, I understand we have some great beer locally and it is fresh, but the hysteria to get these beers and the lengths people go to get them is bad for the overall beer scene.

I think that is disingenuous. I know there is a lot of great beer wasting away on the shelves - but I like to support the brewers, direct sales right to them, and check out the taprooms too.

Will probably swing by around 3 today. Really only interested in the IPA; and because i've never tried it before, I'll probably only get a 6-pack or 2.

I know there is no way of really knowing but gut feeling will this last until like 6:30?

Yes, I don't get these comments here. I'm sure there is plenty to go around and there won't be a line. Eternal Return release was super smooth and all 600 bottles lasted all day. Didn't sell out until around 8PM

I mean they had reasonable limits on bottles for that release...

Maybe I'm underestimating this crazy culture but the idea of people walking out with more than 1 case of each bottles my mind.

How many people will actually be walking out with 4 cases, realistically? Like they said, they're gauging the demand. I know I'm just picking up two sixers of each. Because that's reasonable and I'm not a mad man
