The place was pretty packed, but I got a Pale Ale and bbq sandwich with no wait and ate it out in the backyard which was pretty much empty.

Growler pick up is up the stairs at the front. Looking forward to cracking this open!

So were they just open for the Delaney event? Or are they now fully open?

Just open for the Delaney Event. They taps are still not functional and they were using jockey boxes. I'm assuming the grand opening won't be until end of November.

I'll be at Lucky Dog later today sharing my growler of Single Tree if you want to try some!

I dropped by last night to pick up a growler of the Single Tree. I really liked the space and I can't wait for the official opening. Does anyone know if they will be pouring into glass in the future? I didn't have any beer while I was there, but it looked like everyone was drinking out of plastic cups.

I had a glass of the IPA when I got home last night. It was good, but I disagree with the folks that are putting on the level of Other Half. The Other Half IPAs rival some of the better stuff coming out of New England and I don't think this beer was in that league. I'd put it somewhere near Newburgh or Captain Lawrence. That being said, it was solid and a welcome addition to the local beer scene. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they come up with.

Yes, they will be pouring into glass for the inside and outside when they officially open.

A staggering number of babes yesterday. The babies with diapers, I mean. Guess that comes with the neighborhood.

Thanks for checking out our space, guys. Glad most folks seemed to like it. Chiming in on a few items from the thread...

    - Open date: to confirm, yesterday's event was technically DelaneyBBQ opening in our space with a beer & wine permit for the day. Our physical space and systems are still a little rough around the edges, but almost done. We're working hard to put the finishing touches and gain final approval to open permanently - hopefully sometime in the next few weeks.

    - Growlers: as @xenjoiii indicated above, we will have a counter-pressure filler when we open. Fliptop growlers too (vs. the screwtops for the Delaney event yesterday).

    - Glass: again, this was Delaney's event and they used plastic for the day, exclusively for logistical reasons. Once we open doors, we'll be serving in proper glassware, approved by our head brewer Greg Doroski.

    - The Other Half:
we suspect the comparison btw us may be more about geography than portfolio, since stylistically we're quite different. That said, we absolutely love what the guys over there are doing - Sam & Matt have created one of our favorite breweries in the country and we hope to sell their beer on tap in our bar, for sure.

    - Babies: we are aware of the community we reside (and live!) in. Families are absolutely welcome to enjoy our space during the days. Still, you may not have noticed but we had a sign at the front door that mentioned that while we love kids, we ask that they're all gone by 7pm when the space is 21 and over... nighttime at Threes is for the grown-ups :-)

Hope that clears a few things up. And, keep the feedback coming - we're listening and it helps a ton!

Yeah I was a little confused about the different sizes as well.

10 oz to 22 oz is a pretty huge jump. Plus, 22 oz is a huge commitment. Not to mention the price.

Looks like somebody has been reading too many Grant Achatz menus.

Side note - looking over their prices again, don't they seem pretty high for Brooklyn? $7 for 10 oz of Other Half? $5 for a Miller High Life bottle? $10 for a 10oz pour of Rodenbach Grand Cru? These feel like Manhattan prices. Bleh.

Not sure I'm making it top the opening - got to get ready for my band's gig tonight.

Oh well, already been there twice and I'll be there this Saturday.
