Very strange, I bought two cans and the total was $13 but the 3 Star Pounding Trees is labeled $5 and the Other Half can is labeled $6... guess I should have checked the cans before I left?

Wow. I guess they just ring stuff up for whatever they feel like at the time. 5! 7! 6.19! 8.22! Not surprised tho, every time I go to Threes there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what's going on.

Well, I've been to Threes many times since they first opened for food and brews as well as can pick ups. Almost every time I have been there at the bar my empty glass gets taken from me without asking what I want next. I just find that annoying. Will it stop me from going? Absolutely not, but that's 101 service at a bar.
Every time I have ordered food it has been F'd up, even when they had different people in the kitchen and even now with meat hook . Whether it's improperly cooked burgers, long wait times, slow ordering lines, the ordering line being set up late when it should be open, or simply food that's supposed to be on the menu t but for some reason it's not being served. Will this stop me from going? Absolutely not, I just don't order food there anymore.
Now we have multiple posts that I interpreted as being people being charged all different prices for their canned beer.
You said it yourself, they have a lot going on, but in my experience it just doesn't come together the way it should. Maybe I went on off days for the food? Maybe I just have lofty expectations? IDK.
I will give them props for their can sales system, that seems to run like clockwork at this point. I'm just waiting for cans of There You Are and other new IPAs. Oh, and all the people that work there are really nice too!

I'll agree with much of what you wrote. Great beer, great atmosphere, but the bartenders are really hit or miss. And after many bad experiences (all predating Meat Hook), I'll never order food there again.

All that said, I still visit often and don't see that changing anytime soon.

I have to agree with food. I have had some horrible experience with food, all before Meat Hook, and have not ordered since. However, I do disagree about the wait staff. I was there on one particularly windy evening over the summer when a giant gust of wind came and knocked my beer over. A very nice gentleman sitting at a table near by immediately jumped up ran over and asked what I was drinking. Seconds later he returned with a fresh beer for me. Later found out he was and employee on his break.

Some thoughts based upon the current dialogue...

The Shop: @NewmansOwn @Vizualize and anyone else wondering about this, we were surprised to see these comments because our point of sale system has a button for each individual item and then spits out the tax-inclusive price when something is rung in. Still, we do know errors can happen, so this morning, we did an audit of every sale that was made yesterday. From our view, there were no inconsistencies in prices for any customers whatsoever. That said, if you believe you were charged the wrong amount for something and want to email us (info at threesbrewing dot com) or come by with a receipt highlighting any errors, of course we will rectify the situation immediately.

Service & Food: this one is a little more nuanced. As some of you have noted, we do a lot of things here at Threes Brewing. Our place is a beast, with a number of moving parts, however, the customer experience is of paramount importance and we take this feedback very seriously. We feel as if we have shown great strides to-date and will continue to try to improve with each passing day.

With regard to the actual offering, everything on the program here Threes Brewing is supposed to complement our core focus of making beer. Even so, if we are going to feature a product or service, we aspire for it to be at the highest level of excellence possible. There are some instances where we know partnership is the best path to towards achieving this goal. Our relationships with Ninth Street Espresso for coffee and Sure Shot for records are examples of this.

Food is a little trickier. For the first 18 months of our existence, we featured a rotating kitchen residency program. While many folks loved a lot of aspects of it (including us!), we realized that it was not the best that we could deliver for our patrons. After an exhaustive process, we decided to make two major shifts: bring in The Meat Hook for a long-term deal & move to counter service (we determined many of the issues were derived from front of house & back of house being two different companies).

At this stage, we are thrilled about the progress we've made. We are proud to call The Meat Hook our partner - they are are the consummate professionals, operating at a stellar level as chefs, restauranteurs and friends. We are a better company because they are here. For folks like @NJNYC732 + @icfpny who have only experienced our old model, we strongly encourage you to give the food another shot. Regardless, we are glad to hear you still dig the beer.

As always, thanks for the comments.

@ThreesBrewing I in no way meant for my comment to be negative, every experience I've had with you guys has been great, I was simply trying to provide pricing for those who asked how much cans were when I noticed the discrepancy. The $2 difference is nothing to make a stink about and does not affect my thought on returning, I'm looking forward to the can jam on Sunday!

No worries at all. Some others suggested that the prices in the shop were not consistent, so we wanted to take a moment to clarify.

We sincerely appreciate the feedback - not to mention the ongoing support.

    See you Sunday.

Good question. I wouldn't mind dropping by today too. I assume the store opens at 3PM just like the brewery; can anyone confirm this?

I checked the website but didn't see any info specifically about the store.

Thank you. Now we just gotta petition Threes, OH and St. Gambrinus to all open at noon on Fridays so I can get my day drink on.

Wish I could make it. Quite a selection there. One thing though, NYC really needs something besides IPAs in cans, we already have a ton of those.

New Threes sixer has arrived at Whole Foods. Love it. Helles Bock is the style I believe. I'm copping.

God bless y'all Threes for brewing and canning something other than an IPA.
