Threes Brewing in Brooklyn?

We will likely see a Threes/HV collab coinciding with this event as well.

 

Their 4th Anniversary beer is a foudre-fermented pilsner. Good stuff.

Can anyone report back on In Limbo? I'm hoping it's in same ballpark as Kicking & Screaming, which is one of my favorites from Threes.

 

It's great, and pretty similar to Kicking & Screaming IMO. I'd recommend a 4-pack.

Grabbed two 4-packs of In Limbo this weekend. Was not disappointed. I think I prefer kicking and screaming slightly but this is a great beer.

 

Damn I’m going to Brooklyn to get Sixpoint and OH stuff tomorrow. Was waiting to buy Threes new release til tonight and the it went and sold out both beers! Does this normally happen??

 

They usually keep some on hand to sell. I'd be surprised if you couldnt get it.

Allagash Brewing Company is teaming up with Threes Brewing for the Brooklyn celebration of our sixth annual Saison Day on April 6th.

Adding to the awesomeness of the day is the special guest: Brasserie Dupont’s Brewmaster, Olivier Dedeycker. Brasserie Dupont brews what’s revered by many beer fans as the essential saison—Saison Dupont. This will only be Olivier’s second trip to the United States. He and Allagash brewmaster Jason Perkins will actually be judging the homebrewing competition held during Saison Day.

The tap list will also be stacked with rare saison-style beers. Included on that list is a collab beer from Allagash and Threes: Barrel-Aged Remembered Self.

Here's just a taste of the saison-style beer that will be on tap.

• Allagash X Dupont - Brewers' Bridge - The collaboration saison brewed by Allagash Brewing Company and Brasserie Dupont. Citrus, brioche, and peppery spice. 6.1% ABV
• Allagash Shiro’s Delight - Mixed-fermentation ale wine barrel-aged on plums and Pluerries. Tart, spicy, and balanced. 9.3% ABV
• Allagash The Stranger and the Crane - Roasty aromas and a hint of tartness. A dark saison with cranberries. 6.3% ABV
• Allagash Darling Ruby - Farmhouse-style ale with grapefruit zest. Tart, fruity, dry. 4.5% ABV
• Allagash Moselle - A blend of lager and saison. Crisp, balanced, easy to enjoy. 6.0% ABV
• Allagash The Daring Man - A wild blend of saison and muscat grape must. Tart notes of orange, pineapple, grape. Finishes dry. 9.0% ABV
• Allagash Copain - Foudre-aged, sessionable sour ale brewed with spelt and oats. 3.8% ABV
• Allagash Coolship Resurgam - Complex flavors including apricot and lemon zest define this tart, barrel-aged blend of spontaneously fermented beer. 6.3% ABV
• Wild Rivulet V2 - A wild, barrel-aged collaboration between Oxbow and Allagash. 6.7% ABV

No tickets necessary. Just come out and bring a thirst for this quintessentially Belgian style of beer.

 

This seems like a nice alternative to pastry town. Looking forward to it!
