I like the Publick House and go there once a month or so, but it's a college/post-college bar with a great tap list on most nights. Music is also painfully loud. Not a great beer scene, IMO.

While I can't speak to all of these bars on here, there were some AWESOME places left off of this list. Virginia in particular was ignored with Mekong and Birch Bar being left to the side. Novare Res in Portland, Max's in Baltimore, Mikro in New Haven (or just outside), and Armsby Abbey in Worcester are all amazing places as well.

Tough list I suppose but man there were some great places that aren't on there.

El Bait Shop making another Top Craft bar list. No surprise there. It's a gem.

I wasn't about to stick around to find out. I'm pretty sure he would have told me the dough was hand tossed by Italian Monks on the base of the Mediterranean and that the tomatoes were sun dried by God himself. Thank goodness Funky Buddha is only 10 minutes away. When I left I was able to make it for the growler release of Pineapple Hop Gun so the 110 mile trip was not wasted.

Indeed, there will always be omissions, inclusions that should have been excluded, and some regional/homer bias. A while back some magazine or site published the 100 best craft beer bars and even that one got riled up. I've been to a number of bars on this list as well as many on that list (they both have a number of bars in common) and I don't quite get the hype about certain places. One thing in particular, atmosphere, seems to be overlooked as long as there's good/exclusive beer.

I've only been to Avenue Pub and Monk's Cafe from that list, but they were by far the two best bars that I've ever been to.

Lord Hobo is great, but I still prefer Deep Ellum and their lager-leaning tap list.

Avenue Pub in NOLA is the real deal. Same for Monk's Kettle in S.F. But, just as always with lists, they left off the best of all -- O'Brien's in San Diego.

I've been to 7 on the list, and Sergio's World Beers is definitely my favorite. Torst would get my vote for most overrated.

One by me called Mekong. Apparently it was craftbeer.com's 'best beer bar,' for what that's worth.

The beer is great but the food isn't awfully good. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to drink (but what's beer without food? - lol, jk).

Glad to see our local go to on there. Spend a lot of time and $$$ at Craft & Growler.

When is someone going to "invent" the craft beer strip club?
