I had an unfortunate circumstance arise the other day when I reached into my fridge to grab one of my two last CD's, only to discover an flaw in the canning process yielding a 3/4 can of flat beer. Boo to that. Just to be kind, I shot out an email to grey sail with the canning date just to let them know that this error had happened. The owner quickly responded. I just wanted to share the email with you guys and gals to show there are still good people running businesses out there....

Hello David. Not sure what happened with that can but we will replace the 4 pack for you. I see that you work at ********. Would it be best for cara to bring the 4 pack there? We are canning again at the end,of next week and can then take care of it. Thank you for the kind words and the support. Jen. My phone number is 401212****.

    Subject: Damaged cans

    Hello there,

Just wanted to reach out to you about the latest 4-pack of CD I have purchased. First off, that beer is a home run. The reason for contacting you is that to my dismay I went to the fridge to grab one of my last two beers only to find out that it was about ¾ full with the can sealed but looked to be damaged in the canning process. This was from the 3/18 canning. Hope this wasn’t a big issue for you, just wanted to bring it to your attention, especially at $11.99 for a 4-pack. I look forward for the IPL to be coming out in cans and can’t to try it. Thanks for what you are doing for RI beer.

That's the way to run a business! What comes around goes around, and one nice deed to a single BA has resulted in good publicity to 158 people or so (based on topic views). Good job Grey Sail.

Love Grey Sail's customer focus and Jen is awesome. My wife and I make the trek down to Westerly from metro west a few times during the winter. About a month ago, we're in the tap room asking for package store that have Captain's Daughter. Without asking, Jen bring up a case from the pallet for the distributor to sell in the taproom. Saved me driving around Rhode Island and made me a live long fan of the brewery.

Can't say enough good thinks about this place.
