I understand from facebook posts that Tilquin will release their blackberry gueuze "On May the 2d, during weekend of the Toer de Geuze."

I plan to be in Belgium (Brussels, Ghent, Bruges) later on in May (May 18 - 29). and I plan to visit Gueuzerie Tilquin on Saturday the 23rd..

I'd love to bring a bottle or three of this home and I'm wondering if it's likely it will still be around while I'm there? If not, I'd be happy to set up a trade for a few bottles if anyone is interested.

    cheers!

Hey! I'll be in Brussels May 18-20th, too.
    Cool.
    That's all.
But I wouldn't mind finding some of this around, either!

It´s 35% blackberries, Mûre Tilquin à l'ancienne. They´ve been working on this for a while, really looking forward to trying some.

It´s the 3rd one from the left.

In general their beers stay around a while. Not sure the bottle count compared to some of their other release. I am sure you could find some around town or via trade. Very excited for this myself and look forward to their British Beer Festival!

I wonder if it'll be similar availability to Quetsche, and if it will be a yearly release. They are certainly working on doing their own combinations and I think that's awesome.

    Cheers everyone!
    I read there should be 1800 75cl bottles and 3600 37.5cl bottles.
Should be available for tasting during the weekend of may 2nd & 3rd. I hope it will be available for purchasing too but have no idea.

Per their Facebook event page, it sounds like it will be available all weekend in limited quantities. 1- 750/person is how I read it. They will also be pouring it at both events this weekend.

Tilquin- "Joshua, 75cl per person during event and after. The rest will be distributed but not yet sure some will go to Australia."

I think the Mûre was very good but it still needs some time imo..

It sure does. The nose is not quite right, yet. And the carbonation needed some time too. Might be a bit of a rushed release.

Confirmed this morning that it will be hitting the states but in very limited amounts. No full case allocation, probably only a few bottles here and there. Should be sometime this summer.
