So I read somewhere that 40% of Tilquin production is destined to end up in the US. However, I've never seen it in New Mexico (not surprising). Where can I get some here in the US? I've been hearing good things and I want to try it out...
You can't find it because 40% of not very much is still not very much. I know on some of the more limited bottlings (the recent Tilquin Mure for example) only had something like 5 cases make it to all of Northern California, which is a much bigger market than New Mexico.
I've only ever seen it in NY. Looks like it is distributed by 12 Percent Imports. http://www.12percentimports.com/index/#/gueuzerie-tilquin/ You might want to try contacting them and asking what its distro area is.
We just received a shipment of Tilquin (Questche, Mure, Gueuze) in North Carolina last week. It doesn't stay around long though.
12 Percent just started distributing to New Mexico, so I'll ask about Tilquin. I've been on the hunt for the Quetsche for awhile.
As previously mentioned, Ohio gets plenty. The gueuze is sitting on the shelf at a few places near me. The fruited and one offs go pretty fast though. Kind of similar to how 3F used to be about 3 years ago.
I know of at least one place where I can buy the gueuze and the quetsche off the shelf in my area. I haven't seen any of the other variants though which is a shame, as I'd love to get my hands on a squared or mure.
