I am working on stepping up some Conan yeast from 4 cans of Heady. I made a small starter around 1.02 and pitched in the dregs of 4 cans two days ago. Right now, when I stir it I get about almost an inch of frothy bubbles, so I am assuming this is good. Here is the problem though. I was planning on making a starter around 1.035 and decanting off the first starter and adding what is left into the new one. However... I wont be able to do it for another 4 or days. So , my question is. Should I cold crash now (after 2 days) and make the new yeast starter tonight (11 hours of it being in the fridge) or should I just leave the starter I have now at around 65 degrees and wait until 4 more days to do the next step?

I wouldn't bother cold crashing if you're making another/bigger starter. I'd make it tonight and add the entire solution to the new one.

I was thinking that, but wouldnt that lower the gravity of the new one by adding the other solution?

My advice would be to crash/decant between steps. Depending on the relative sizes, dilution and/or alcohol content could be an issue, and at some point you may be doing nothing more than feeding (and not propagating) the yeast.
