There was nothing better than sharing a Budweiser with my grandfather while cleaning guns. If I could go back and recreate that, I would. He has long since passed, but it’s such a great memory.

 

Mmm. Not sure you'd be so keen of Watney's Stout if you knew how they made it. Around 30% was Bitter returned from pubs.

What made you like that beer so much over another bitter?

Do you think there's been a noticeable change to 1845?

Since I assume you can't actually time travel, pick up some Guinness Foreign Extra Stout - a beer that feels out of step with other stout today.

Years ago, I chucked any empty bottles I was hanging on to, but I kept just one:

 

If this morphed into using pepperoni pizza instead of little wafers for communion I might be back in church.

 

I’m envisioning the minister/pastor/priest handing out full slices plus a pint of beer every Sunday morning. There wouldn’t be an empty pew in the house.
