I just though about a cheap (or possibly free) way to procure packing paper. Save used Christmas wrapping paper! Ask family or friends for it. Yes, it is thinner than packing paper you would buy at the store, but it will still work. This may have been mentioned previously, but I just wanted to share it with everyone in case it hadn't.
I don't really see a difference between that and buying packing paper or newspaper. Paper is paper, but thanks!
My method for packing boxes, once the bottles are wrapped in bubblewrap, is to reinforce the bottom and line the outside with some padding. Once the bottles are all inserted I stuff any open spaces with whatever packing material I have. Pretty much the less room the bottles have to move around in, the better. Old wrapping paper would probably work well for this, if you can get enough. Just as long as it hasn't been pulled out of the trash.
any tips on getting lots of bubble wrap? Also, least favorite is shredded paper. Its the glitter version of packaging and hard to take out bottles with out making a mess
Ebay! I just ordered a 12" x 300ft roll for $20 shipped. Also, if you have the Container Store near you, they have 12.5 cuft bags of packing peanuts for $20! Way better price than any office supply. Edit: I know what you mean about the shredded paper. Glitter is like the herpes of the arts and crafts world!
