You're going to be pretty close to Little Cottage. They're doing a black Friday event with some special barrel aged draft offerings.

there now! BA venolac and burn it the ground are both really excellent.

was at 3 Taverns picking up package beer and watching the World Cup earlier. Snagged a mixed 6+1 at Ale Yeah! earlier in the week.

cheers, all! Hope you’re having a great Black Friday.

I'm going to resurrect this thread to ask if anyone can point me to a bottle shop in Brookhaven I can visit (or the closest place that's worthy). I'll be in Atlanta for one night only, and I'd like to grab some cans to enjoy while I toast my father's 80th birthday. No time for brewery or bar visits, but if I could have just one location to pick up some suds and as a bonus anything special I should pick up (local IPAs, imperial stouts, sours, pilsners).

    Please and thank you!

There is a Total Wine right in Brookhaven. I've never been to that specific location but the ones I've been to near me have a good selection of local beers. Tower Beer Wine & Spirits is a great place but it's a little further south of there (2161 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324). Grapes & Grains may also be a good spot (4783 Peachtree Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341). I have one up near me as well and it has a good selection. Hope you find some good local brews!

Awesome. I used to shop at Green's on Ponce when I lived in Atlanta a lifetime ago. Psyched to check this one out.

Green's probably has the best selection of fresher beers in the city (that or Tower).

Inner Voice in Decatur and Halfway Crooks are two breweries that are really standing out in ATL right now IMO. I'd also throw Elsewhere in there too. If you wind up in Decatur, Brick Store Pub is a must (their cask bar is a really cool newer addition).

Yes! Brick Store Pub. Gotta try the cask ale there. Only six places to drink Cask Marque certified ales in the US. Two are right in GA: Brick Store Pub and Good Word Brewing & Public House.

Thanks for the tips, folks. I ended up near that Green's on Ponce. They didn't have singles, but grabbed a 6 of Tropicalia and a 4 of Halfway Crooks Farina. Those beers did me just right.

Those were two great choices! Tropicalia is still the most well liked IPA in Georgia and Farina is a hidden gem. Well done!

Northwest side I-75 corridor... Underwood Hills out to Marietta and beyond thoughts? I enjoy all styles. Been to Bold Monk a few times, Scofflaw of course. Glover Park. Stout Brothers. Just looking for something decent without driving across town. Thanks.

Round Trip Brewing and Fire Maker Brewing are close to Bold Monk.
Terrapin Taproom near Truist Park is cool.
Schoolhouse Brewing is near Dobbins Air Force Base (I have not been to this location, but have heard good things about it. Worth a try for sure).

I've seen Fire Maker and they are the "house brewer" for a pub I like in Bolton, so I've had their stuff and its fine. I have not been to Schoolhouse, Red Hare or Ironmonger. The Reformation location on the river looks nice, I am just not crazy about their stuff (and I like Belgians). Guess I just better get busy trying some of these places.

It’s a quick drive to Monday Night Brewing if in Underwood Hills.

Probably been to Monday Night more than anywhere else. Had a buddy that actually tended bar there for awhile. Love Drafty Kilt.
