I should have recognized the sarcasm. It is my favorite manner of expression.

I have only ever ordered from letspour, so far(3 times). None of the IPAs I ordered seemed old IMO. I just had a Ninkasi Double Red Ale tonight, and it was popping with grapefruits and pineapples. I would say you have little to worry from sites that have higher traffic. I will be getting my Surly on france44 eventually. I know they sell a ton of it.

France 44 claims to be Surly's largest retail customer. I doubt you'd have to worry about getting old Surly from them.

I never understood this part. If I trade for a beer I have to buy the guys beer, get a box, pack it up, drive to a UPS store, and PAY FOR IT to ship. If I use an online service I expect to pay shipping, I don't think it's insane to get something shipped from France 44 and have it cost 15 -16 bucks for 2 four pks of 16 oz beers.

I've bought both Surly Furious and Wet, both were outstanding, they even sent an extra. And it's legal, you just need someone 21 to sign for it. Wet wasn't worth the money Furious is.

Sarcasm and a computer are easily lost.

I think Wet may be the best fresh hop beer ever made (Founders a close second) and Furious to be a middle-of-the-road IPA. Whatever floats your boat.

Wet was good, just my impression it's not worth the 18 bucks give or take for a 4 pack, but I'd try it again, most brews deserve two shots.

Yeah, I didn't get the sarcasm either, and I'm a pretty sarcastic bastard as well. In fact, by the time she was four, I'd taught my daughter both to understand and detect sarcasm and to use it effectively in conversation. It's an essential skill she'll need in order to live with me.

Then again, maybe everyone on BA who makes this "IPA freshness" comment is actually being sarcastic, and none of us are getting it—which would make Hanzo the latest perpetuator of this grand tradition.

Speak with a real person on the other end of the line, phone email them expressing, a good business will take the time to answer your question(s), you can make your mind up and go from there..

France 44 is an awesome place to buy fresh beer online. Without them, I never would have gotten the chance to try Surly. Since we are on the subject of buying beer online, are there any websites that I can order Three Floyds, Russian River, New Glarus, or Oskar Blues from? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Pearl Specialty carries Russian River. Stock varies so you have to get a little lucky. I just received some Consecration from them.
I've ordered from Quality Liquor in San Diego as well for RR. Now their website says instore purchase only for all RR products.
I am not aware of anyone offering FFF or New Glarus, but since I am in Chicagoland, I have new really looked.

this. heck i rarely ever bring 1 home. imho, they're best enjoyed on tap, where if for some odd reason the pour wasn't fresh or is way off, you have a living, breathing person to discuss substitution with. but, i suppose it's easier for me to adopt this stance as IPA isn't my favorite style to begin with.

Understandable and ludicrous are not opposites at all. I can fully understand something and still find it playfully laughable (i.e., the etymological definition of ludicrous).

For example, knowing the tastes of teenage girls, I understand how Justin Bieber has been successful. I still find it ludicrous that anyone can enjoy his "music." It's ludicrous that the top selling beer in Belgium, beer Mecca, is freaking Jupiler. That doesn't mean that it's beyond comprehension, just ridiculous.
