My first order had a snafu, but my last 2 went out the next morning and arrived on the following day. This is to DC, so VA is probably another day. They ship cold, so if there's a chance your box will sit in a warehouse over the weekend, they wait until Monday to ship.

In my experience, if they are up for order, you're getting fresh cans. Definitely one of the best things to come out of 2020!

My UPS tracking info updated. It's supposed to come Monday. I wasn't expecting it to come before the weekend anyway, so that's fine. I'm excited.

I don’t usually get too excited about most of the new milkshakes anymore, but I can’t wait to try Extra Vanilla Cranberry! This one sounds awesome

just know, it will probably be tart if you like that. Me personally I like the traditional shakes more than the tart ones.

Is it just me, or did the daily releases seem to slow down a lot over the last week or so? Thinking it might be weather-related, I think they closed the Fermentaria a couple of days, but didn't know they meant they weren't brewing/canning . . .

Heyo - we pretty much release beers on Wednesdays & Fridays like clockwork. That’s not a rule, but that’s how it works out 90% of the time. We released beers last Wednesday & last Friday.

And yes, we closed Mon + Tues this week so everything got pushed one to two days for the most part. If it’s unsafe for people to come buy beer, it’s unsafe for us to ask people to come to work ya know? And yes, that includes the brewery/packaging team =)

We’ll be back on schedule next week.

Just got my shipment today and the beers arrived cold. Does anyone do it better right now? I mean they put insulation and ice packs in there. Incredible.

Ripped open a DDH Grassman as soon as I got home from work and man. I am floating.

This, on the other hand, is my first shipment from Trillium. Zero padding (not even bubble wrap, no insulation, shoddy box. It makes me really appreciate TH all the more:

While I’ve had some great IPAs from them.... more and more I hear I hear about Trillium, the less impressed I am with them as a company.

Holy shit man thats terrible. Honestly for the money they get for their beers that is totally unacceptable. One of many reasons Treehouse will always be king for me. I think their attention to detail is higher and their pricing is more reasonable. Theres a couple Trillium brews I have to get every now and then (ddh stillings st being one)
But all in all they cant hold a candle to Treehouse or TH. Yes the co has had shoddy internal operations for awhile. Dont forget about the push when workers were getting paid squat while the company made big profits and when exposed they had to step up to the plate.

    What I received back today:

    Hi Jay,

Thank you for reaching out to us, and our sincere apologies that the cans in your order were so severely damaged during UPS transit.

We carefully package these orders in Whale Pod shippers that are durable and designed to withstand rigorous shipping conditions; however we do understand that these shippers are not indestructible, and this is possibly the most extreme damage that has been reported since launching this program.

We would be more than happy to replace your order, however, if you would prefer a full refund that we could absolutely process that as well - Please let us know how you would like to proceed so we can ensure this situation is taken care of promptly.

We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience with us as we navigate this new service.

    Cheers,

Thats the kind of follow up you like to see. I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago and it was perfect. They way your box arrived goes to show how little carriers actually care about items they're delivering.

Well, yes, and . . . that box is really asking for damage. I've been trading beer for almost 10 years, and I've never sent out such a flimsy, unpadded, unprotected box. I regularly get shipments from Tired Hands that are packed in such a way that the cans inside will basically never get smashed that way. Even the geometry of the box, a long, narrow rectangle, is asking for trouble. No bubble wrap, just can against thin cardboard? I'm happy for their response, but they really need to think this through.
