Tired Hands (2021)

I enjoy them but I enjoy Jean's quirky personality and seeing him talk in their particular brand voice I've been reading on Instagram and on menus over the years. And kinda fun to "virtually" be in the Brew Cafe while its closed.

It's almost TOO transparent tho - he sort of admits that most of their recent innovations are money-driven, in a condescending way like the people buying them are too stupid to have any actual good taste/sense...he says that mixed-fermentation beers "f%^king kill you" and often questions why people drink alcohol at all more than once. "Consuming ethanol is bad for you but that's what people like to feel good about themselves." (or something to that effect) In a recent podcast he said that pastry stouts will give you diabetes, but they had to make one anyway.

I mean he's not wrong but its a weird message to share on your company's social media page when you're selling stuff that will kill you!

 

Yeah, I saw that. It's certainly an isolated incident. Sure the cardboard wouldn't help prevent denting of cans, but being tossed around by UPS wouldn't prevent the cans from being over-carbed and explode in transit if better packing materials were used. Unfortunately in PA we can't get more than 3, 4-pks so I had to deal with the $25 for shipping and would have rather paid $30 shipping to get 3 more 4-pks.

 

My replacement box arrived in pretty good shape, and the Trillium guy helping me out said they're evaluating padded boxes for use in the near future.

 

Very solid offerings today, made an order for the punge, extra strawberry, seltzer, and weedeater, love me some equinox beers

 

Maybe THBC gods are listening (@BullRuth ) and will suggest to the powers to be to DDH the milkshake series!!

Have I been living under a rock, LOL!? I was suggesting a DDH Strawberry Milkshake IPA. Was this brewed in the past? Can such a thing can be done?

 

It seems that in today's craft beer scene anything can be done. I suppose an area of 'debate' is whether it should be done?

I have too much beer right now to place an order, but would love to hear how it is.

 

The menu this week has been unreal. This is the firs time I really have to think about which (4) 4pks I want to complete my order.

 

I feel like the last two weeks have been insane. I hated missing out on TDH Punge and DDH Weedeater too, I chose a terrible time to be well-stocked on Other Half.

Here’s to hoping some of these last til next week, or they go three in a row with these highly desirable releases.

I have a feeling Double AC will sell out quickly today. Good luck to both of you if you are going after it!

 

I hit up the mobile release in Gettysburg to stock up for March Madness, got DDH AC and grassman, LOL, TDH punge and the strawberry shake.

Extra strawberry was fine but everything else was incredible. They are absolutely dialed in.

 

I haven't had too much TH in my life, but the Recent DDH Alien Church Simcoe, DDH Grassman and DDH Weedeater are fucking amazing.

 

Cracked open a double alien church and it was amazing!!

 

Would love to know if Double AC is any better or worse than Photosynthesizing Tongue. They posted in an Instagram comment that the recipe was slightly different.
