Tired Hands (April 2016)

so before the complaints about $22 4-packs begin again, just want to mention I was out at Russian River over the weekend and had to pass on the $66 Blind Pig 12-packs. what a rip!

 

So you agree that $22 4-packs are a ripoff?

 

There will be a can for sale at 11am Sunday also but they haven't announced what it is.

 

for BP yes but the Blackberry milkshake I had on tap would be $22 worthy. they pack a lot of fruits into their brews.

 

I'm driving down for the first time tomorrow, anyone know when the line usually starts? I'm guessing it'll be even earlier for their Milkshake release.

The line always starts very early but you also usually don't need to be there before 5 to get cans. For what it's worth I went to the last Milkshake release (Lychee/Passion Fruit) and got there at about 6 and was able to buy cans after waiting in line ~30-45 minutes. If you're willing to get in line any time before 5 you should be very safe so choose based on how comfortable you are but 4pm should be extremely safe.

 

If I was to get there around 2 could I snag a draft and then get in line whenever I finish and I think the line is looking long?

 

I think that would be more than ok. Just check the line and the allotment amounts. good luck and consider bringing a chair to be comfortable.

Heading down tonight to see The Ballroom Thieves (awesome band!) at the Ardmore Music Hall which is conveniently right around the corner from Tired Hands. Do they still allow you to swap out one of your growlers for one of theirs? If so, do they require a top to the growler you swap? One of mine is missing a top and I want to get on the road ASAP after work so want to spend minimal time looking for it if I can avoid it. Thanks!

You'll be fine. I swapped out one without a top before with no issues at the Fermenteria.

 

I sure hope they limit to 2 of each and spread it out. It's going to sell out, let more people get some.

 

Wasn't there leftovers available late Thursday (and even Friday) the last couple of weeks?

 

Haven't been any leftovers of the milkshake beers. The only leftovers have been hophands and regular beers.

 

Damn, guess I can dream....

 

About drinking better beer than these overplayed milk shakes? :x
