I've commented on their pricing before, but have significantly cut back my time spent at the bar and usually now just go for cans/growlers, and will just forgo can releases that are $20+. I can definitely see how some people think their staff comes off as disingenuous, or even snobby - which I never understood, you're a bartender or waiter/waitress, who has nothing to do with brewing the beer. Having said that, most of them are really nice.

The hostesses seem to stay within their job description and just handle seating people. Chances are they don't pay attention to everything else, especially what's on. If you want to know what's on, ask the bartenders or waitstaff. Or you can just walk up to the wall where everything is displayed clearly.

As small as TH may seem, they have a large and diverse staff. You'll run into a snobby person once in a while, but that's hardly representative of the entire staff or even the large majority. I honestly can't think of a single incident since I started going to TH (both locations) that I'd consider a particular staff was being snobby. Anecdotal though, and maybe they just treat good looking patrons differently :grinning:

Socially media created a channel for venting and whining while reinforce immature ways of approaching problems. People seem to unable to bring themselves to be a normal civil person that they are when they talk to someone in person, you know, come and talk to the managers or Jean in person, or write a measured email to them to express their opinions with the honest intention of helping a business be better. Instead, it's quicker and easier to kick and scream in a public venue so that THEY get the attention all the while poorly convey their criticisms to the brewery. The likes of them will gravitate toward each other and build on each other, become vocal, repeat the same messages, even if they personally didn't experience the problem and snowball them into something bigger than they really are.

Don't get me wrong. There are legitimate problems and at times slow to get addressed. However, people seem to forget that the Ferm is 1 year old. I haven't seen many complaints about the BrewCafe at all and they are coming up on 4 years. It's growing pain and the Ferm will get to where the Cafe is now. Look at how far and how much they have done in 1 year at the Ferm. They are trying to keep up with demands while adjusting, fixing, learning, and changing to make their customers happy while continue to churn out new beers almost weekly AND keep the BrewCafe going. Every release gets better. They finally have bottles on shelfs for much longer than a few days. You can get a pour of TH in many bars in the city and surround areas. The list goes on...

For those who continue to complain about prices, understand that people are happy to pay for the quality of beers they get. I mean, that's how they stay in business right? If people are so unhappy about the prices, they would've shuttered by now. The money they make go back into the brewery, including a new 10,000sqft of warehouse where they can bottle age beers. TH is not forcing anyone to buy anything from them. There are other options out there. Personally, I don't buy as much beers or frequent TH as much as I used to because I have other financial priorities. But when I buy, I'd much rather pay higher for TH beers than anywhere else.

Does anyone know if they have any of the anniversary glassware left? I'm gonna head down after work today and drink my face off.

I drank a Peach last night and mine was also somewhat clear until I poured in the bottom of the can which produced a massive amount of sediment/floaties. This was my first time drinking a Milkshake so I can't compare to past ones, but there was a massive amount of particles floating around.

The online store lists some so I'm assuming the answer is yes!

Previous Milkshakes I've had looked much more like orange or grapefruit juice. These taste fine but don't look so hot. I wonder what could cause only some cans to come out this way. It reminds me of Weyerbacher's 20th anniversary beer in chunkiness.

    thanks for the feedback.

For beers this hazy, just roll them around a few times to get the particles in suspension then pour it.

Totally disagree. I know of one person, who only had the best interests of helping them succeed, send an email with ideas and positive feedback on how to improve, only to get banned for life by Jean....So, here's someone that wanted to see a project like this succeed, and they get banned from even going there. Who is the one that sounds like they being immature?

"Look at how far and how much they have done in 1 year at the Ferm. They are trying to keep up with demands while adjusting, fixing, learning, and changing to make their customers happy while continue to churn out new beers almost weekly"....which they can only do if the beers don't ferment long enough.....

Quality? Why are the growlers flat in 2 hours? I really like the way most of the beers taste, and have purchased growlers multiple times, they just taste flat and watery if not consumed in a couple hours..

So it looks like they're opening a location in Stockholm. Anyone have any more information on this?

"Our love affair with Tired Hands Brewing Co. began about 3 years ago. Since then we have travelled half across the world several times to drink, appreciate and brew together.

This brewery remains in my mind one of the most innovative, yet beautifully intuitive in the entire world. However, due to the delicate nature of the Tired Hands experience (vibrant hoppy offerings on tap at the source or limited bottle runs with seldom less than a couple of years ageing) its small brewcafé in Ardmore (PA) has come to represent the very notion of exclusivity... until now.

During the weekend of May 20th–21st Omnipollos hatt will morph into Tired Hands Brewcafé Stockholm. Brewers, chefs and managers are flying over from the US and everything from beer to food will transform into a teleport one-off experience.

    Be there.

    Henok"

I think this is a bit dramatic and I havent seen this being a huge issue recently. Ive also witnessed people open growlers of all different TH beers with exceptional carb. quality after a few weeks.
