Amazed at the line jumping going on at these releases still. Sorry bunch of people this place attracts.

The story was that a PLCB person (agent?) who is responsible for SEPA told the Iron Hill folks that they had to sell their beer in Iron Hill branded growlers. She informed Iron Hill that this was the regulation/law. If this story is accurate, I have no idea why she did this only to Iron Hill.

    Cheers!

Welcome to the wonderful new craft world of enthusiasms.

One more reason why I refuse to wait in line to buy beer.

    Cheers!

Oddly enough, the line was shorter than expected. Got here at 5:15 and the line was a few people passed the bus stop

Hopefully, nobody got shut out as a result. The best, some doofus, in a King of the Hill Shirt, shows up and constantly is looking to see how long the line was behind him as he stood there, the line that he should have been at the end of.

Another thing, why is the line always in the direction that the wind is blowing into your face. Why not turn it around so the wind is at your back at least?

From time to time, the wind decides to blow in a different direction, it's the craziest thing!

But in all seriousness, they changed the direction of the line to try and not block as many businesses

Thanks. This is what I meant by "use" your other growler. Glad most people understood.

Have they brewed High Road before?

I understand the wind changes but thanks for that. I guess I'm saying why not line up so wind is always at your back. But I guess you're saying there is some inconvenience to others in opposite direction. I seem to recall lining up in different direction for the bottle release I went to. Oh well, sounds like everyone who wanted cans today prob got them. Good to hear.

As far as I know it is new. I'm drinking a can now and it's surprisingly non-cloudy, looks like a more average DIPA than a super cloudy NE one.

The problem is that it has virtually no carbonation. I'm no expert but I think it's a mistake. Feels like the can is flat.

Edit: I saw that line cutting today too and I clearly wasn't alone. Most people around me were pointing it out. That was extremely uncool and I haven't seen it this bad before.Disappointing release.

I might be off on this because my palate has changed so much over the few years that i have really been into craft. This high road really reminds me of the first year that hop ranch came out, and i really loved hop ranch. Excellent.

While true.. the reason that lasted so long is because all of the bottle releases were on Sundays... when those businesses we stand in front of are closed.

I thought I read Via Instagram that they happened to have extras left of Hophands..did anyone still know that to be the case after last night?

I went at like 9 and got some. There was like one case left sitting out but there could have been more in the back.

Sounds like Tired Hands is becoming like Other Half. More of a reason to stay away

They are nowhere near other half quantity of people, yet. I got there a little before 4 and was in my car at 530. Showing up an hour before an OH release can have you on Garnet Street contemplating your life choices. :grinning:

Has anyone else tasted a big difference in the last Alien Church can release? (march 30th) I was the last person to buy a case on that day and I've noticed that the ale doesn't taste anything like it used to. The beer tastes extremely bitter, almost a medicine like taste. The beer is also much clearer than it has always been before. I emailed the folks at Fermentaria in hopes to get to the bottom of this.
