Delayed April Fools on the chairs perhaps? Though the town is probably not super happy that the line takes up like 3x as much space as it would if there were actual people standing in it. It makes sense to try to pull in a few extra bucks on parking scofflaws either way.

Still, handing out tickets inside seems like a much, much better solution.

If they hand out tickets inside you'll see a chair line for tickets a few hours in advance of the ticket sale time. No way to avoid lines and apparently chairs now.

30 posts about chairs.... how about the two brand new beers they released today? Good/Bad? Anything?

Both beers are solid. Definitely not bad by any means. They're not what I would call excellent though.

To provide a frame of reference, I'd say Double Bright and Obvliex were excellent. I'd say Alien Church and Pineal are a notch above as well.

    Just one man's opinion

This is awesome. I mean if you're not using it to sit in while you actually wait, how is a chair different than any other inanimate object used to save a place in line?

So none of the cans made it to the bar? That's a little surprising.

So its actually not bullshit. I arrived at 1:30 yesterday and put my chair down and went inside to work and eat. The first thing the waiter asked me when I sat down was if I had a chair outside, I replied yes and he informed me that the Township met with Jean and they would be enforcing some rules regarding parking and chairs from now on.

I spoke with the Manager as well. He confirmed what my waiter had told me. Around 3, I headed back to my chair and the line attendant also confirmed the information. As people were lining up their chairs he was warning them about the 2hr parking limit and staying with their chairs.

And to top it off, I got a parking ticket that states "Violation: 14: Beyond Meter Time Limit (Feeding)"

I read the actual sign in the upper lot and it does state "2 Hour Parking Limit" - I can only assume they have decided to enforce that limit, while before they didn't care as long as the meter was full.

If you are still skeptical, feel free to call Tired Hands and they will happily relay the same information to you.

The "bullshit" part was trolls saying that chairs were being picked up by the Township at 4. No one, not even Tired Hands, knows what the Township is planning to do or when they are going to do it. The line employee simply said "As long as you are with your chair, you wont have a problem, we don't know when the chair pickup is going to start, we only know the Township has told us if they see empty chairs moving forward, they will remove them"

I keep thinking that if they made all releases a limit of 1 four-pack per person until 8:00 (then up to a case) then folks would trickle in for three hours with a separate chair-line for 8:00 open sales. would likely be more transactions for TH to process but perhaps some kind of pre-paid coupon thing could be introduced to speed it up.

The parking thing is a bit of a problem as it almost always takes 2 hours at least to grab beer and eat. There very few long term spots scattered around.

I wonder if this will be only enforced on release days or all days.... honestly there have been more than a few times going down just for lunch and being more than 2 hours....

I was stuck at work til almost 9, upon leaving expecting something to still be at the bar, I called and the girl told me they sold out around an hour ago.

It would be AWESOME if Hands implemented the online pre-purchase method that Vault does for their can releases, but I doubt that they'd ever do it.

What it means for me is from now on I will never get there before 4pm since the meters end at 6pm. I wonder if others will do the same?

they don't even let members reserve cans, no way they go to an online can reserve.. people from far and away would start reserving the more popular choices

they posted awhile back the foundation being worked on over at the dispensary and something about cold storage.. they are working on a general store near the cafe... something leads me to believe that both of those things could be connected and releases/sales of "to-go" items will one day change.. till then it'll be much of the same sans Hardmore being Hard"er" with their threats of taking chairs and now ticketing if you have parked for longer then 2 hrs and not move your car
