Is this 2 hour parking limit that is being enforced only for the parking lots surrounding the ferm within the neighborhoods or is that including the actual lot within the Ferm too?

Good question. I'm getting the feeling I won't be taking my business to Ardmore anymore. Tough shit I guess if I want to come, park my car, have lunch and visit the surrounding businesses and/or purchases goods (cans) from TH. I'm not going to play parking musical chairs just b/c the twp wants to deploy a initiative to make more money by ticketing. I almost feel bad for the folks who live in that area now.

All of the parking areas have signs that say 2 hour parking? So everyone is saying this hasn't been enforced if you just go fill the meter? Sorry just after having lived in philly for so long this is foreign, I always just assume the worst. The situation in general does suck for parking though, last time i found the one spot left along the angled street that had no signage or meters.

What's everyone's thoughts on Hazey 1 and 2? Haven't tried it yet but the Untappd ratings seem decent.

This is indeed a dumb thing to do for the town. I can see enforcing 2 hour street parking in front of people's houses like this, but to not let people feed meters in the parking lots is kind of nuts.

I am guessing this is being done at the request of local businesses that are hearing complaints by their customers that they can not find parking. It is something that I am surprised didn't happen before, on can release days there is no where to park and it definitely scares away business. We can to remember that Tired Hands is one of many businesses in an area with minimal parking and not everyone there is excited about can releases.

Solution seems simple to me, tickets available at the time the ferm opens. Set a time for pickup. Might as well move that time up as well and spread the thing out. If they did tickets for 12pm pickups starting at 2pm I'd be more encouraged to eat lunch and spend money than having to wait to 5pm.

Side note, never in all of my life have I heard of a 2hr parking rule being enforced as long as meters were fed. Seems to me Tired Hands has pissed some people off. I think Jean likes the lines judging by the amount of times I've seen him taking pictures. I'm sure they were warned so maybe they had time to think of a solution.

Idk whats even in Ardmore, but I was never there before Tired Hands, and in some other world, if Tired Hands were to leave there'd be no other reason for me to go there again. At least with them there, theres a shot i might visit another business or two...

To play devils advocate- what town do you live in? How many shops in Ardmore have you shopped in? If there was a business in your town that made it hard for you to do the things you do would you be happy about it?

Like if you owned a restaurant and tried to ban food trucks because they cut into your profits.

No more like if you owned a restaurant and there was a line of people and chairs on your block and they took all the parking that your customers used previously.

There is only one business that I could tell was being inconvenienced and that's the party supply store in the cricket ave lot. They cater to a lot of kids party's on the weekends and TH usually has a Sunday release. Other than that there is no other store/business of any merit that I noticed in my travels through Ardmore.

I have not shopped in any shops in Ardmore. Currently in the city but originally from more Western Burbs. I agree, that would piss me off, but its only usually 1-2 days a week maybe. But to respond to your comment, hypothetically, what if thats my only time I go to Ardmore...and while I am waiting in line or looking for parking I spot a business that I may want to return to on a different day...they just gained a new customer.

I do agree the unsightly thing about it all is people dipping and dodging and (sprinting, why are you sprinting?) to and from car with cases of beer..

That is the business that I was thinking of a we'll be harmed the most. I remember one Sunday Tired Hands customers actually parking in their delivery van. But add that to the apartment building that didn't like people standing outside their window and now with the new way it goes in front of more apartments/houses. It isn't a cheap area and I am sure if you ask businesses and residents they could tell you how they feel about it. I don't live there but if I did, I wouldn't be happy with it

I live in the western burbs and Tired Hands got me down there and have visited local shops because of it - but I think I am in the minority with that. And with the parking, when a neighbor on my street has a party and their guests take all the street parking and partially block my driveway I get annoyed even though it is an occasional occurrence .

    Was that Only Void day?

Don't get me wrong, I am a big Tired Hands fan and will continue to go down there. They try to be a good neighbor from what I have seen, but it appears they will have to do something different to make the neighbors happier.... still hope the extra cold storage and new General store help make getting cans easier

Doesn't Jean own a farm? Maybe he should go the Hill Farmstead route.

No idea could of been OV day I did that one. Or maybe something else that I was mule-ing for my bro if he had work.

I think the chair issue is a good development that should have been dealt with a long time ago. They should just see how that changes things and then go from there. The parking meter thing seems unnecessary but typical of politics.

Also would like to see Sea of Green get canned bring back some old good ones!
