Tired Hands (April 2018)

Really enjoying the new batch of Strawberry milkshake. I was wondering though, why is there no pink or reddish hue to the beer if they use really strawberry purée. Extract?

 

Cracked open the Reisling and Merlot tonight. Interesting concept, the reisling bottle was a little more subdued and as my wife put it I wouldn't rate it highly as a wine or a beer but the combination works. The Merlot one is a lot better, lots of fruit, nice strawberry and the barrel smooths it out some. Very nice spritz to both.

 

I haven't had enough batches to compare. And yeah just wonder why the strawberries don't lend any color to the beer?

 

Chances of there being a can release on Friday the 27th or Saturday the 28th?

 

I would say none as that hasn't happened in over a year or so and even then it was a rarity. Might have some things left over from a Wednesday release and of course stuff stocked at the general store.

 

So I loved this beer a couple years ago on tap and I had talked with staff at the time and they said they had put some in barrels so here we go. Interesting that it got the saison yeast treatment, I still haven't opened my Red Wine Only Void. They are basically also saying treat it like a port?

 

sounds really interesting .. i bet it has a nice dark deep and slightly sweet taste to it

Seems to be the new trend from the Dispensary.

If it's the same allocation as last week I'll make the trip there. Both sound like awesome options for the (hopefully) upcoming warm weather

 

If I were to arrive tomorrow at 6 how likely am I to get cans? Never been before.

 

Man, it seems like they're increasing production lately on the shakes. Not a fan. Don't get me wrong, I like the shakes but have no interest in going to a shake release anymore and every time I plan on going to a can release lately they announce a shake.

 

Was sorta hoping for a non-milkshake release, but hell I'll take it. Got a buddy coming along this time which will make the line a bit more bearable

 

Oh man Communication Is the Key Lime Pie that takes me back. They did that one on cask conditioned on graham crackers at one point if I remember correctly as well. Now if they ever brought back Delicado...

 

I sat at the bar in the cafe in 2013 when they first released the firkin of that beer conditioned on graham crackers and drank more than my fair allotment. Probably the most memorable TH beer I've had, likely based on the fact key lime is my favorite dessert.

 

I wonder if it'll last til 9PM again like the strawberry.

 

Debatable, I guess. It's a brand new shake, whereas Strawberry has been put out a few times.
