Grabbed 2 4pks, going to dip into them tonight. (Had to wait, I don't drink during the week...)

Second this. Going to be hard pressed not to drink them all this weekend.

I like Technicolor Splendor too and I think it improved a lot after two days. It was not as good the day of canning.

It's also pretty different from High Road so my prediction was wrong. Tired Hands described them the same way except for the hops but Tired Hands is relatively clear and Technicolor Splendor is all opaque like usual.

I have been seeing this quite a lot. People are generally happier with a canning 3-5 days post release.

Any idea when next can release would be?

Well the last 2 have been on Wednesdays, so presumably this Wednesday the 10th? We'll know for sure on Monday.

It could be a Friday release, in which case we wouldn't know until Thursday.

Actually if it's a Wednesday release we won't know until Tuesday as they never announce until the day before. I'm definitely pulling for a Wednesday release this week since I plan on going but can't go any other day.

Had one last night and thought the same, insanely good DIPA.

Had a can of Pinching Off The Dead Parts last night as well, and while I thought it was pretty good, it seems like an IPA of their's I've had before 25 times all with different names.

How was the release and brunch? It sounded like there were a lot of bottles available so hopefully it's on shelves this week.

No line at 12:20. They closed the garage sometime before I left at 1:30.

I really want to get this but the price is holding me back. Anyone try it yet? Was it worth it?

Yeah I'd like to hear if it was actually good. My imagination is telling me it tastes like a sour grapey belgian but who knows!

I thought it was in the good to very good range (I gave it a 4.25 on untapped for what its worth). Almost no tartness though. I drank it cold and as it warmed a little bit of tartness started to come through, but still very much on the non-tart side as far as wild saisons go. Definitely heavy on the tannin/leather/funk...pretty noticeable merlot/grapey taste, though far from being a grape bomb. I picked up a distinct mineral note too. Smells heavily of merlot.

As far as if its worth it...$25 a bottle is a little steep for me in general, but that's relative. I'm of the opinion that I'd prefer the 500 mL bottles just because they're cheaper and I can drink one myself easier, even though I know the 750 is a slightly "better deal," but I guess that's a little off topic. I don't regret getting it, enjoyed drinking it, and hope/expect more tartness to develop as the other bottles age.

Yeah that was my turnoff, the price. For 25 you can get a truly fantastic bottle of wine, instead of a beer that smells like wine.

I've heard from most people who tried it that this one will likely be better with some age on it -- figure I'll wait at least a few months or so before cracking my first. It sounds delicious, though.

Random question but does anyone know if Watching Trees Decompose is still on? Thinking of shooting there tomorrow late night, like midnight, if anyone cares to join me.
