Tired Hands (August 2016)

Easiest release ever. Chilled inside the ferm drinking drafts until 4:45, had cans in hand at 5:15. Line never reached Cricket! Might be a new record.

Heard rumblings in line that next week could be a milkshake release...bring it.

 

I've done this three times now and its worked every time, its a beautiful thing to avoid that heat.

 

I hope you're right. I plan on making next weeks release no matter what it is.. that would be a HUGE bonus.

 

Which milkshake? If it's the one from last week, a lot if people might pass on that one.

 

I would love to see another Double Milkshake. That Mango was straight juice from the Gods.

 

As of 2 or so hours ago they had around 25 cases of High Road and 40 cases of Hop Hands, should be plenty left for tomorrow I would hope? Might make the drive of about an hour for some.

 

Didn't hear anything more specific than "a milkshake". I'd be happy with any of them!

Personally I don't get the draw of milkshakes 2-3 and I'm good. If you're trading them that's another story and I'm pretty sure that's what happens to the majority of them. We need another big stout soon instead.

 

Id like to see another round of punge. I could wait till fall for another stout.

 

Wouldn't mind some Perception (e.g. Season, Fools, etc.)

Extra Extra Knuckle, Imagination of Ourselves, Mrs. Pigman...even another round of Weedeater would be cool. I'm surprised they haven't canned any Mago Tago yet.

 

I agree that the a big portion of these are traded. It never ceases to amaze me what people give up to get these. Always wonder after they make that initial trade do they go back and trade again for the next one.

 

For what it's worth I traded away a few Strawberry Milkshakes and the guy I traded them to asked if I had more, which I did, and I got more Bissell Bros out of it.

I do agree though, the milkshakes are not really my type of thing. I do like them and I think they're very well done (loved the Kalamansi), but I'm not a big fan of adding fruit to an IPA. The fruit flavor should come from the hops.

 

Personally I'd never trade a single can of milkshake. They are my favorite beers of the year. Every ounce of milkshake I've bought has gone down my gullet.

 

The Anchorage Brewing/Tired Hands collab was released for draft only at ABC's brewery. "Migrating Eyes" is a 7% spelt saison that sat in oak for a year. My first time with a spelt grain beer - won't be my last.

 

Can anyone confirm they have cans left today?
