The problem with Singlecut in this area is that they're more expensive then TH and harder to get. I had DDH Is This The Real Life? and, while a really good beer, was not an NEIPA. It was also $7 for one can and they would only allow me to buy the one.

I can't speak for any of their other offerings

Magnify Low Visibility is better than HopHands. But other than that, generally I agree none of the shelf stuff stands up to the best Tired Hands and the like.

more distro'd beers are starting to get the hint and are dipping into the NE craze.. think flying fish just put one out but yeah the quality of shelf NE ipa options isn't up to a "release" option from any of the major players... TH/OH/Trill/Tree/Veil/Monk yada yada yada...

I'm still hoping AC makes it into regular rotation at the General Store.

I'll have to try that, just picked up some Magnify, haven't had anything from them before. Funk's Tumbleweed is a great pale as well though with a different hop profile so I try not to compare it.

Yessir, been waiting on that and would be awesome although my budget has been getting hit by the plethora of bottles they have been releasing. By plethora I mean more than the two regulars they were putting out before.

TJ's in Paoli is still getting kegs of TH stuff. They just loaded a few more into their que yesterday.

Guess they're one of the few that will still get some?

It's an outrage. I can't imagine why they'd think that.

Got back from this past insane release of 2 pp release of Doubleganger.

If you love TH this beer is currently ranked tied for 2nd OVERALL on Untapped with 4.74. Top 5 on non-anniversary party releases here on BA @ 4.73. Etc., etc. This beer is extremely hard to get and had extremely low quantities.

I'm looking for 2 whales atm of KKBS or Morning Delight.

    I have 6x Doubleganger and 6x Haze.

Haha. Yeah. I was a complete noob and I'm still earning. Honestly, I'm impressed by your detective work. But you know what. Looking back ... that is hilarious and I had no idea what I was doing. At least, I can laugh at myself and admit my mistakes.

If you want to embarrass me, just PM me. It still won't change Tired Hands and their policy of chairs.

    But thanks for the laugh.

Yeah Sticky Drippy is a great beer and all but when is the Emptiness bottle dropping?

So nothing really came out of the conversation from yesterday other than Thomas Hooker, Singlecut, Funk, and a couple other things that technically make distro but are still hard to get?

Correct. Lots of talk but little to back it up. And believe me, I've had plenty of Funk stuff. It's very good beer, but it's not as good as TH. Funk is up the road from me maybe half hour or so, been going there pretty much since inception.

Yeah, somehow I don't anticipate getting an answer on that one...

It's totally reasonable to bring up Prima Pils as a great analogue to Tired Hands's pilsners, but to say that there are reasonably priced comparisons to their IPAs on shelves is a huge stretch.

If you're in South Jersey, Fuego from Tonewood is easy to get - from the brewery with zero line or in local stores sometimes - and while it's not TH it definitely scratches the NEIPA/juice itch.

Two Roads Two Juicy is the best shelf NE IPA you will find in the area IMO. Be careful knowing its age, but it's a damn good beer.

16 oz pours at F+M are not for value hunters , imperial pints are.

Anyone go over during the bike race yesterday? If so, how was it? Any cans left?

It was a lot of fun. They were selling cans of GRAB in paper bags for consumption next to the Brew cafe, which was directly on the race route.
Tons and tons of GRAB to be had at the general store, ferm garage, and ferm bar. Was still plenty when we left around 6.
Besides the price tag I'd say GRAB was an easy choice. I really enjoy the beer and the lower abv means they can be sessioned. Got a case for the next two weeks in case I don't like what the release offerings are.

Copy and Paste this week. Looking forward to trying it! How good was it last time it was canned?

Honestly nothing to write home about. It's a good pale ale but really nothing special. I think most would agree with me on this one.
