Anyone else try the Alien Church released yesterday? I feel that it is off compared to the last few batches. Alien Church my favorite IPA and I do have issues with it being served too cold, but this feels more than an over chilling issue.

Very true, but this batch seems to be missing the brightness from the hops the last few definitely had. I'm hoping for some insight from other who have tried this batch to either confirm or deny what I am tasting. Maybe I've had too much before hand and my plate is off or maybe it's too cold. I'm open to the fact that my hypothesis could be wrong.

    The colder the better IMO.

I completely disagree, I've had is cold on draft and out of a growler off of the the same tap line and the warmer growler was far better IMO.

To each his own. I love my IPAs as cold as they can be without being frozen. Including Alien Church. Didn't have yesterday's batch though.

How was the Handbier? Excited that it might see regular production or some sort of reoccurring production?

Anyone by chance know if Hophands cans are in stock at the general store?

Just had one and it's pretty spot on.

Had the triple last night and thought it was spectacular

Anytime someone says spectacular I just think of Teri Hatcher on Seinfeld...
But good to hear, I do enjoy a good triple ipa.

Some folks are of the opinion that Alien Church reaches its peak of flavor after about 2 weeks in the can. What are your thoughts on this matter?

    Cheers!

I usually drink mine faster than that, but the other week I did a side by side with a day old can and month old and taste wise they were very similar. The biggest difference I noticed between was the hops in the fresher can smelled juicier. But I feel like you could be on to something, I will definitely let some sit and see if it helps.

Lots of people on the first page dissing thier Triple IPAs obviously forgot the Yuzu which was fantastic. Yes, the donut beer was one of the worst they have ever made...but the Yuzu and this latest one are awesome!

That's odd. Grey market, or does Omnipollo get to release some in Europe? The fact that they were "far from cheap" makes me suspect the former.
