I had it with the motueka and thought the motueka was better.

Yeah the Hudson Valley sours etc are treated more like berliners etc where they are kettle soured to add another dimension to what is basically just an ipa vs culture soured in secondary a la what you mentioned from Hill.

i doubt it'll be as refined but i'd imagine sort of similar...

i was under the impression that hudson valley wasn't cutting corners on their sour ipa's.. had heard they blended true sour ale.. meaning bugs etc.. not kettle with ipa to acheive their beers... could be wrong? but yeah... tons of kettle sour stuff out there... my stomach can't handle the kettle sours i've found out... at least not beyond like a few oz's on occassion

Yes, I read Tired Hands description as a not-so-subtle dig at kettle sours (which is deserved, IMO).

Ok having a pour of metaphor church now, this is a damn fine beer. Takes Alien Church and makes it more refreshing imo. Some tartness on the nose and way too drinkable.

Yeah it's not along the same lines as the Hudson Valley I've had, more of like they just put AC through the SaisonHands method.

Well that Bananas Foster Double Milkshake was super disappointing. They can't even deliver on the hype name gimmick anymore. Thanks to the kind soul who spend their own money so I could try it, I guess.

This is not true, HVB blends acid beer with IPA to create their sour IPAs

Can any of you lovely Philadelphians recommend places to get Tired Hands within the city limits? I know Monk's sometimes has it but could use some extra suggestions. I'm taking a trip up there next week.

Curious to hear reactions to the latest quad (14%?!). Reviews are all over the place on Untappd (not the most reliable of indicators)... both "incredibly boozy," "too hot," and "ridiculously smooth," "can't taste the 14%."

Just click on the See Where It's Pouring button for each beer to see what bar is currently which beer

Every city does have it - there is this app called Untappd.
