I am trying to complete a Tired Hands Bottle Set. I am only in need of Black Lagoon and I know it was only released with a dinner they had at Tired Hands. What do you think it will take to get one? Also does anyone know if there have been any other Tired Hands bottles besides the following: - Black Lagoon - HandFarm* - Guillemot (Nebula* and Prunus*) - Artisnale* - Only Void (Stainless*, Rye*, and Red Wine*) - Cassie* - Wachu Saison* (Grassroots/Tired Hands) - Bitter Sweet Symphony* (Brouwerij t' Gaverhopke/Tired Hands) * I have one bottle (or in the process of a trade) of each
cfrances33 - I actually was able to get a bottle of Marilime from my brother in Chicago. It looks like this is an impossible dream (don't feel like trying to trade for all these super rare and the HF beers)
Norma is not a collaboration. They have collaborated on the Myth of Saison and Delicado. Maybe others at the TH brewery but I don't know much about that.
It looks like a couple Black Lagoon bottles floated out there over the winter: http://beeradvocate.com/community/search/28268268/?q=black+lagoon&o=date&c[node]=25 Maybe try swapping some of the other single bottle limit TH stuff for it or Voodoo BA variants if you were at those releases.
maybe it was their Biere de Mars? and their Phenomenology of Spirit as well? http://www.tiredhands.com/2011/02/all-around-world.html
Hmm, I think the BdM was released on draft. I guess through association Norma was a collaboration unless that was a separately made batch. I'm confused about Phenomenology because I thought it was originally between HF/McKenzie/Iron Hill but maybe the bottles were done with TH. Those were only released to guests at a small winter party at HF in 2011.
Correct on the Phenomenology of Spirit. Hill, McKenzie, Tired Hands, and Grassroots. Brewed/bottled at Hill Farmstead. Slightly incorrect regarding Norma though. The original batch was brewed at Hill Farmstead with Tired Hands.
Mike nailed it. Jean was here on February 12, for our Winter Gathering, when we released the original batch of Phenomenology of Spirit - which was brewed with Jean, Ryan, Ryan Witter, and myself. My grandmother passed away that day - Feb 12 - when we were brewing a new Biere de Mars - a portion of which was fermented in oak and became Biere de Norma, in tribute. The latest batches of Norma (2012) and Phenomenology of Spirits (2012/100% spontaneously fermented/coolshipped) were brewed here, with just Dan and I... new recipes... etc etc. Spirit will be released in a few weeks...
