    Although it does contain some very good tidbits of information the "Tired Hands to Can" thread is a bit overwhelming - especially for those people who have never been to the brewery before. So (someone) thought that (they) would create this one in order to streamline information for all things Tired Hands in the month of (September).

    Useful Links:

    * Tired Hands on Instagram (can releases usually take place on Wednesday/Thursday afternoon)
    * Tired Hands Brew Cafe
    * Tired Hands Fermentaria

    Hours of Operation: Tired Hands Brew Cafe is closed on Mondays and the Fermentaria is closed on Tuesdays

    Growler Filling Policy: "Please feel free to fill as many growlers as you would like. In Pennsylvania, each transaction must be limited to 192 fluid ounces. This means that upon receipt, if you would like to purchase more than 192 fluid ounces of our beer, you must leave the premises and then return to pick up additional beer (and then repeat the cycle if you’d like any more beer!).

    We will also be opening up for 64 oz growler fills on MOST ALL BEERS. There will, of course, continue to be a few beers that we will not do any growler fills of (one-off kegs, anniversary beers, etc.), but this should be a rare occurrence.

    We will continue to fill our branded glassware only, as we are STILL exceedingly proud to put our name on our Strange & Beautiful beer. If this is a very big issue for you, we will be happy to let you “trade-in” any growler for one of ours. Sound good?"

    So, I created this thread simply because I thought it would be fun to share this with the Tired Hands crowd, and the December thread wasn't up yet.

    Simply put, a first half and second half pour of the same can. I'm sure a lot of you are very familiar with this, and how different (more delicious) some of the Milkshakes can be after a full pour, but I don't see a lot of pictures of it.

    That sucks.

    In celebration of Friday and to compare to your pics I cracked open a vintage 2016 can of Lychee Milkshake.

    This beer had changed since canning but is at least as good as it was on day 1. For what it's worth, the last can of this I opened (about 5 months ago) had turned grey in color but still tasted great. This one is a totally opaque pale yellow. Vanilla and the lychee are now the primary flavors but the hops are emphasizing the fruit flavors and this beer still holds up after something like 10 months.

    It's too bad that this batch of Milkshakes managed to age wonderfully while all of the recent batches turn to snowglobes within 3 weeks.

    At the bottom there were 3 chunks of yeast/sediment but nothing like the snowglobes, overall this is still a delicious beer.

    It seems like the peach is the main culprit in the snow globe issue. Wonder if it is some type of reaction with the pectin that causes it....

    What do people think of this week's releases? I love copy and paste! And that was the one I was expecting to like the least.

    Blackberry and Double Watermelon are just as bad, and I think the latest Strawberry is too but I don't want to open my last can to check it. I've been keeping a can of each to see how they are after a relatively long time becuase these change a lot.

    The latest non-snowglobe is Double Mango ,as far as I know. I don't know what causes the difference but I do think it makes a difference in flavor and the seprarating-milkshakes end up overly sweet in the first pour and strange in the snowglobe pour. For whatever reason, the non-snowglobes do seem to hold up better.

    I mean, the beer itself was delicious. The only one I was underwhelmed by was the Guava. When a beer is called Milkshake and goes through the process Tired Hands describes, I kind of expect that sort of appearance, it's just always amazing to me watching the last half or third of the can come out and the comparison between first and second pour is sometimes hilarious. But it's still unlike anything else I've ever had.

    It would seem to me that in their rush to get beers out the door each week and deliver beer that is "hyper fresh" :rolling_eyes: , Tired Hands just isn't conditioning the beers long enough before they package them. The cans are functioning as miniature bright tanks. The trub is eventually dropping out, but there is nowhere for it to go.

    I homebrewed a peach pale ale this summer with peaches from our tree. I pureed and added the fruit in secondary (along with dry hops). I kegged the beer after a week or two of secondary fermentation when the fruit had appeared to have mostly settled out. But it took more than a week of refrigeration to be able to pull a clear pint of beer from the keg. The early pints looked just like the photo that @Sabtos posted of the Milkshake beer, until I cleared all the sediment.

    Mago Tago is actually turning a good corner and barely abrasive. Not saying it is as good as the good batches they have brewed before, but is pretty tasty right now!

    This is why you should store your Tired Hands beers upside down.

    I need to turn mine upside down too....gotta do that.

    I had a Double Watermelon over the weekend, still really, really, really good. Loads of sediment but not really snow globey.

    Poured a Double Peach this weekend and the appearence made my wife beg me not to drink it. All snowglobes that settled into a 2 part/2 color separation like a black and tan.

    Also have the Punge cans chilled out yet? Fresh they had a weird booziness that reminded me of St. Ides/Old English malt liquor. Hard to get through a full one.

    Even Punge has issues?

    I was thinking after the last few crazy releases this week would be easy, but I guess I'll stay away from can releases for awhile. The quality issues don't seem to be going away.

    This was taken Thursday. I took good 15-20 mins to finish this glass and by then sludge was at the bottom..
    May be TH should include an instruction manual for pouring and drinking shakes along with the cans.
