Maybe can release is an end result of a nice day having some good drafts and food at a great place?

They say that both Alien Church and Whatever Nevermind are sold out now. 700 bottles of Whatever Nevermind were sold within 3 hours? Wow, last year it stuck around for a while.

I was blown away the Sberry Shake was still on as of yesterday, they must have kegged a decent amount of it. I stopped Tuesday afternoon, enjoyed a Hail Santa and a Shake and grabbed a growler of it for Christmas. Why stand in line when I can enjoy a growler just as easlily....maybe even more so. I got lucky there was enough draft to last for a few days.

PS: Strawberry Shake is great...as always.

Plus I feel like this year is just a whole other animal with the can releases also influencing the bottle releases and it's a holiday week with people off of work.

So we are all assuming that yes there will be another Friday release this week? That will be the Mikkeller collab and the Federal Donuts collab?

I wonder if they'll keep up this new 2 a week method: "average" release on Wed then the insane release on Friday. Keeps the pressure valve off for sure. I rolled up after 7 yesterday they were still selling the cans from the side. Three people in line in front of me, full allotment. Had a Hail Santa, got a growler of Undertow for the wife (she loves it), and got home in time to put the kids to bed.

I feel like "Consider this a baby step in understanding that the beer world is bigger than just a few select styles." is directly written for that guy.

I imagine tomorrow will be crazy, I'm really digging that Federal Donuts can artwork. Something about that color palette speaks to me and wants me to drink whatever is inside.

Also long story short my wife was watching the new Gilmore Girls last night and I about died when I overheard that one of the main characters was writing a thinkpiece on waiting in line for stuff. Then she proceeded to interview people in line around New York, really got the vibe right, too bad they didn't hit other half. I'm not sure they were ready to face 4am bottle shares though.

Huh? Everywhere I saw them, those beers collected dust on shelves because of the price tag.

Finally I agree with something Tired Hands says! If they can get some beer drinkers to look beyond IPAs then that's a good thing.

But I still see that beer as a hard sell at $16 when Great Lakes Elliott Ness (the top rated Vienna Lager on BA) is available in most beer stores and sells for ~$10 a six pack.
