Any thoughts on pouring a peach double milkshake through a strainer?

Try cheesecloth, or maybe a French press, unless you have a fine chinois which I'm guessing probably none of us have.

pouring a carbonated beverage like beer through a strainer is likely going to leave it flat.

just cold crash it and then pour slowly.

Not sure what you are asking. What do you mean by "buy backs"?

I know we talked in the November thread about other spots taking some heat off of Tired Hands but just saw this today:

    Coming soon...Levante's first can release.

You had a small taste of this back in October, you gave it the highest praise of any beer we've ever made and we're happy to be kegging it and releasing it the same day in cans. Stay tuned for updates on the release date, we're planning to do this before Christmas.

166 cases only, $16/4-pack, 1 case allotment, no advanced sales.

Anyone have this when it was on draft? Beer is called Locked In the Trunk.

Do we have another thread for area beers that aren't Tired Hands?

Really? $96 cases are the new normal for a regular IPA? No thanks.

There isn't an ongoing dedicated thread for general news in the SEPA area, but it doesn't mean one can't be started. It's not like there is a shortage of breweries for discussion. You've got Victory, Yards, Sly Fox, Forest & Main, Free Will, Round Guys, Prism, Conshohocken, Manayunk, Hidden River, Stickman, Tuned Up, Vault, Dock Street, Earth Bread, Philadelphia Brewing, Bar Hygge, Crime & Punishment, St. Benjamin, 2nd Story, Stable 12, Neshaminy Creek, plus a few more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Tired Hands certainly isn't the only game in town.

Curious what the holiday release schedule will look like. This week for sure (probably something low key again?), next Weds the 21st probably, Weds the 28th maybe nothing?

Has anyone tried the Strawberry Ourison?
I guess there might be another weekend release but the 28th is a reasonable date to be back open. Sticking with Wednesday's would avoid the holidays pretty well.

Picked up a bottle last night, will probably bring it to a holiday party. I'm thinking those will last a few days if anyone was on the fence about going to get one.

what has been said in here about the brewers who left is correct.
only other poached brewer I'd prefer to comment on is the long time TH brewer who went to Cascade.

Suprises me Jean didn't do more to keep the backbone of his brewing operations in place until at least his upcoming expansions.

I can't definitively answer this but:
    • Tired Hands has a location in Conshohocken that to the best of my knowledge is solely used for barrel aging.
    • They are the the process of opening a new location next to the Cafe. I have heard people state that this will be for selling beer (vs. brewing). I have a tough time understanding this since there does not appear to be enough product (e.g., cans of beer) to sell at the existing locations (brewpubs)
I have also heard rumors for quite some time about opening a tasting room in the city (Philly) but I don't understand this either from an amount of product perspective.

Does Tired Hands currently have enough brewing capacity to support multiple Tired Hands owned retail outlets? Are there plans in place to significantly (i.e., double or triple) production?

    Cheers!

It's not often that a Monday goes by without a can announcement, it it? Late (or no) release this week, maybe?...
