Is there extra trade value because some dude stood next to the kettle for a few hours and took pictures?

Do we think this release will bring out milkshake like crowds?

I really want that collab, but I won't get there until 6 so I'll understand if I get shut out. I really hope I get that barleywine though. That's the real gem for me.

As a side note, cake and icing is excellent. I'm excited to see what they do with this culinary non milkshake IPA thing

I assume tomorrow will bring out a good crowd since it's the holiday break for some people and Heist Decoder was probably my favorite tired hands beer this year.

The collab worth seeking out is the Sante Adarius collab sitting on the general store shelves now. I'm surprised it didn't sell out by the second day.

I'm shocked too. I assumed it would've been gone by last night.

I'm stopping by the store after work to see if they have more of the SARA collab, it's incredible. Skipping the cans.

Sad to say so too, because Heist Decoder is very high up there among my favorite Tired Hands cans, Oblivex is delicious, and a barleywine seems awesome right now... but there's going to be a massive crowd for this one and I can't imagine it lasts all that long unless there are super low allotments.

Yes, you attach the Monkish name to anything and the masses will come.

I've been trying to get the SARA collab believe me haha but I can't make it over to the brewery this week and figured it would be gone by the time the can line started today which I expect to be a mob.

I personally think Oblivex is overrated. Way too boozy, even for a DIPA. But that's me.

Fully agreed. Had a couple glasses of Cake, Icing at the Ferm when it was released. It was excellent.

And did I miss something? Where was the Heist Decoder listed?

Why is everyone expecting a mob? Non-'shake "culinary IPA" releases have been pretty subdued. A barleywine and 2 IPAs they release regularly hardly seem like things to get people that excited about. Is it just because of the timing?

I'm also loving my Cake, Icing cans. Very glad I snagged 3 4-packs instead of just 2. It seems more fruit-forward than what you get with the lactose ones.

No Heist Decoder today, just another Monkish single IPA collab, hence the reference.

    Monkish
(And to a much lesser degree, barleywine)

Did the barleywine go fast last year? I'd love to go later on to snag a 4-pack, but have little interest in any of the others. If the Fruitoleptic is going to sell out and leave the other ones behind, that'd be awesome.

I really don't get the hype about collaborations at all. In my experience, a collaboration beer will either A. suck, or B. taste like one brewery made the beer and added the other brewery's logo to the label.

Also, I feel like their beer descriptions are getting so absurd that they've crossed over into self-parody. Which I appreciate. I mean, "Gnostic Pan-Dimensional Reptoid IPA?" It's gotta be on purpose.
